Vidya Wires share price: Shares of recently listed Vidya Wires Ltd, a winding and conductivity products manufacturer, rose on Tuesday, December 23, after the company announced its financial results for the second quarter of the financial year 2025-26.

The stock climbed 1.28% to ₹53.06 per unit on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) at 9:48 am.

The company recorded a 26.2% increase in its consolidated net profit to ₹10.5 crore in the quarter ended September 2025, compared to ₹8.32 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

Revenue from operations advanced 4.65% to ₹380.93 crore in the three-month period ended September 2025 as against ₹363.98 crore in the year-ago period.

EBITDA, or earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation, stood at ₹16 crore in Q2 FY26, reflecting an increase of 12.02% from ₹14 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. The EBITDA margin was at 4.08% vs 3.82%.

The stock had made a flat listing at par with the IPO issue price of ₹52 per unit on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on December 10.

The ₹300.01 crore initial share sale consisted of a fresh issue of equity shares valued at ₹274 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) component of 50.01 lakh shares worth ₹26.01 crore. The price band was set at ₹48 to ₹52 per share.

The funds generated through the fresh issuance of shares were intended for capital expenditure needs for setting up new projects in subsidiary ALCU, repayment of debt and general corporate purposes.

The initial public offering was subscribed to 26.59 times. The non-institutional investors (NIIs) had led the bidding, subscribing their quota 51.98 times, while the retail individual investors' category was booked 27.86 times. The portion reserved for qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) fetched 5.12 times the subscription.

Vidya Wires is involved in making winding and conductivity products for critical industries and applications. Its product portfolio includes enamelled copper rectangular strips, specialised winding wires, PV ribbon, precision-engineered enamelled wires, paper-insulated copper conductors and aluminium paper-covered strips, among others.

The products are used in varied critical applications like electric motors, clean energy systems, energy generation & transmission, electrical systems, railways and electric mobility.
