Vedanta Group's stocks were trading in the positive territory on Monday, August 10. The only exception was Hindustan Zinc, which was down.

Shares of Vedanta were up 1.99% to ₹284.40 per unit on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) at 12:12 pm. Its market capitalisation stands at ₹1,11,152.78 crore.

Vedanta Aluminium shares rose 0.95% to ₹474.50 per unit after the company announced that its subsidiary Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO) was declared the 'preferred bidder' for the Karlapat Bauxite Block.

"As per the tender document, the Karlapat Bauxite Block is at G2 level of exploration with total area of 1,822.61 hectares for the block and estimated mineral reserves of ~ 248 Million Tonnes. The block fits into strategic backward integration for the company's business," it said in an exchange filing.

Vedanta Iron and Steel stock hit its 5% upper circuit level at ₹36.97 apiece. Last week, the company had released its earnings for the June quarter of the financial year 2026-27.

The company posted a consolidated profit after tax of ₹122 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to a net loss of ₹142 crore a year back.

Its revenue from operations increased 18.3% YoY to ₹3,662 crore in the quarter under review. "VISL delivered a resilient operational and financial performance in Q1 FY27 despite a dynamic market environment. Higher iron ore production, record quarterly pig iron output, operational efficiencies across our steel businesses and continued focus on value-added products supported strong margin improvement," Pankaj Kumar Sharma, CEO and Whole-Time Director, said.

Shares of Vedanta Oil and Gas and Vedanta Power rose 12.43% and 3.27%, respectively.

Hindustan Zinc stock fell 0.75% to ₹598.50 per share on the NSE. It has a market capitalisation of ₹2,52,927.60 crore.

The stock had hit its 52-week high of ₹733 per share on January 27, 2026, while its year's low of ₹414.55 apiece was recorded on August 11, 2025.

The scrip has gained 9.63% in the past week and 11.68% in a month. Year-to-date, it fell 2.01%.
