V-Mart Retail reports 23% YoY surge in total revenue to ₹1,089 crore in Q1; check business updates

V-Mart Retail share price: Shares of V-Mart Retail are expected to be in the spotlight on Thursday, July 2, as it reported its business update for the first quarter of the 2026-27 financial year (Q1 FY27).

According to a regulatory filing dated July 1, the company’s total revenue from operations during the quarter under review stood at ₹1,089 crore, marking a 23% year-on-year (YoY) growth from ₹885 crore in the April-June quarter of the 2025-26 financial year (Q1 FY26).

It recorded over a 9% YoY increase in its same-store sales growth (SSSG) in the June quarter of FY27, with V-Mart at over 8% and Unlimited at more than 13%.

During Q1 FY27, the company opened 15 stores and closed one store, resulting in a total operating portfolio of 591 stores as of June 30, 2026.

The new 15 stores included seven stores in Uttar Pradesh, two in Uttarakhand, and one store each in Gujarat, Jharkhand, New Delhi, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal.

Recent update

In a separate filing, the company said that Vineet Jain, its Chief Operating Officer, designated as Senior Management Personnel, tendered his resignation from his position via a resignation letter dated June 10, 2026, to pursue new opportunities.

Vineet Jain will officially step down from his position as the Chief Operating Officer at the close of business hours on July 15, 2026.

Furthermore, V-Mart Retail has designated Anand Agarwal, its Chief Finance Officer, who is already designated as a Senior Management Person/Key Managerial Person, as the new Chief Operating Officer of the company in addition to his already existing roles.

V-Mart Retail stock performance

Shares of V-Mart Retail ended 2.25% higher at ₹796.55 per unit on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Tuesday, July 1. However, the business update was reported after the market closed.

The scrip has gained more than 2% in the past week and 17% over the month. On a year-to-date basis, it has climbed 14%.

While the stock hit a 52-week high of ₹903 per equity share on June 25, 2025, it touched a year’s low of ₹457.90 apiece on March 30, 2026.

Q4 snapshot

The company reported a 39.1% YoY fall in its net profit to ₹11.3 crore in the fourth quarter of FY26, compared with ₹19 crore in the same period of the preceding fiscal year.

Its revenue from operations, however, jumped 24.5% YoY to ₹971 crore for the reporting quarter, as against ₹780 crore in the March quarter of the 2024-25 fiscal year (Q4 FY25).
