Top gainers and losers, June 9: IndiGo gains 4%, Jio Finserv up 2%, Titan Company down 2%; check list

Top gainers and losers: The benchmark indices, SENSEX and NIFTY50, closed in the green for the second consecutive day on Tuesday, June 9, amid buying in banking stocks, as Reserve Bank of India introduced a US dollar-rupee forex swap facility for fresh FCNR (B) deposits mobilised by banks for a minimum tenor of three years and a maximum of five years to attract foreign capital. Foreign Currency Non-Resident (Bank) deposits are foreign currency term deposits maintained by non-resident Indians (NRIs).

Furthermore, recovery in Asian stock markets also improved investor sentiment.

The SENSEX gained by as much as 0.7% to hit the session’s peak of 74,035.41 and the NIFTY50 index touched an intraday high of 23,279.40.

On June 9, the SENSEX surged by 394.50 points or 0.54% to close at 73,918.76, while the NIFTY50 ended higher by 119.10 points or 0.52% at 23,242.10.

NIFTY50 top gainers and losers

The NIFTY50 index was supported by buying in the shares of InterGlobe Aviation, the parent company of IndiGo, which closed 3.91% higher.

Jio Financial Services (2.31%), State Bank of India (2.30%), Eicher Motors (2.14%) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise (1.98%) were among the other top gainers.

On the contrary, the top losers included Titan Company (-2.28%), Oil & Natural Gas Company (-2.06%), NTPC (-1.99%), Power Grid Corporation of India (-1.67%) and Eternal (-1.19%).

NIFTY MIDCAP 100 top gainers and losers

The NSE Midcap gauge ended at 60,715.45, marking an 809.80-point or 1.35% jump.

It was bolstered by gains in PI Industries (6.89%), Motilal Oswal Financial Services (5.64%), Bank of India (5.37%), GE Vernova T&D India (4.11%) and Indian Bank (4.03%), which were among the top winners.

On the flipside, Info Edge, the parent company of Naukri, closed 1.72% lower. It was followed by Indus Towers (-1.54%), Vodafone Idea (-1.32%), Oil India (-1.04%) and Hitachi Energy India (-1.03%), which were among the top laggards.

NIFTY Smallcap 100 top gainers and losers

The NIFTY Smallcap index advanced by 300.15 points or 1.69% to close at 18,063.60.

Its top gainers included Data Patterns (10.82%), Pine Labs (6.75%), Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals (6.50%), Ola Electric Mobility (5.78%) and IDBI Bank (5.43%).

Conversely, Tata Technologies (-4.48%), CESC (-1.50%), Anand Rathi Wealth (-1.37%), Zensar Technologies (-1.37%) and Aptus Value Housing Finance India (-1.37%) were among its top losers.
