Top gainers and losers, July 13: TCS gains 6%, HCL Tech rises 5%, TechM up 3%, Grasim down 3%; check list

Top gainers and losers: The benchmark indices, SENSEX and NIFTY50, closed flat, with a positive bias, on Monday, July 13, amid a rally in IT stocks. The markets closed higher for the third straight session, paring early losses.

In early trade, the SENSEX fell as much as 0.92% to touch an intraday low of 76,857.43, and the NIFTY50 index reached the session’s low of 24,000.20.

On July 13, the SENSEX advanced by 47.01 points or 0.06% to close at 77,616.40, while the NIFTY50 ended higher by 4.10 points or 0.02% at 24,211.

NIFTY50 top gainers and losers

The NIFTY50 index was supported by buying in the shares of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which closed 5.51% higher, after the company surprised analysts by posting better-than-anticipated June quarter earnings and a robust pipeline of AI deals.

It was followed by HCL Technologies (5.15%), as investors awaited the upcoming first-quarter results release later during the day. As per the NSE filings, HCL Tech’s board of directors is set to announce the company’s April to June quarter results for the financial year ending 2026-27 on July 13, 2026. The board will also consider and declare a second interim dividend for the current fiscal year.

Tech Mahindra (3.24%), Infosys (3.24%) and Bajaj Auto (2.50%) were among the other top gainers.

On the contrary, the top losers included Grasim Industries (-2.73%), Tata Steel (-2.10%), Nestle India (-1.59%), Eternal (-1.52%) and InterGlobe Aviation (-1.45%).

NIFTY MIDCAP 100 top gainers and losers

The NSE Midcap gauge ended at 63,040.95, marking a 4.15-point or 0.01% rise.

It was supported by gains in Kalyan Jewellers India (7.39%), Voltas (5.04%), Tata Elxsi (3.92%), Bharat Heavy Electricals (3.42%) and One 97 Communications (3.29%), which were among the top winners.

On the flipside, Bharat Dynamics (-3.24%), Indian Bank (-3.21%), GE Vernova T&D India (-3.15%), Swiggy (-2.29%) and MRF (-2.18%) were among the top laggards.

NIFTY Smallcap 100 top gainers and losers

The NIFTY Smallcap index closed flat at 19,422.95, up by 6.45 points or 0.03%.

Its top gainers included Pine Labs (7.32%), Zensar Technologies (6.54%), Tata Technologies (6.08%), Affle 3i (3.69%) and Aegis Logistics (3.13%).

Conversely, Physicswallah (-3.21%), Manappuram Finance (-3.02%), Nuvama Wealth Management (-2.81%), Ather Energy (-2.76%) and Neuland Laboratories (-2.59%) were among its top losers.
