Top gainers and losers, Aug 10: Titan soars 3%, Tata Consumer Products up 2%, SBI falls 2%; check full list

Top gainers and losers: The benchmark indices SENSEX and NIFTY50 ended flat with a positive bias on Monday, August 10, as investor sentiment turned cautious amid a surge in crude oil prices.

Crude oil prices surged globally as Iran on Sunday said that a deal with Oman defining new shipping lanes in the Strait of Hormuz was in its final stages but reiterated ‌that the waterway would only reopen once the United States met other conditions, according to a report by Reuters.

The markets had earlier rallied, with the SENSEX gaining as much as 0.2% to hit an intraday high of 78,676.98. Meanwhile, the NIFTY50 surged as much as 0.2% to touch the session’s peak of 24,620.95.

On August 10, the SENSEX rose by 43.27 points or 0.05% to close flat at 78,542.44, while the NIFTY50 edged higher by 13.15 points or 0.05% to end at 24,583.80.

NIFTY50 top gainers and losers

The NIFTY50 pack was led by Titan Company, which closed 3.02% higher. It hit a record high of ₹5,122.20 apiece today, after the company’s June quarter (Q1 FY27) earnings checked all the right boxes.

Titan Managing Director Ajoy Chawla, in the earnings call, said that the growth momentum witnessed in the first quarter of the current fiscal has continued in July, adding that the company is on course to deliver the improvement targets after a strong start this fiscal year.

It was followed by Tata Consumer Products (2.44%), Bajaj Finance (2.24%), Shriram Finance (2.04%) and Grasim Industries (1.73%), which were among the other top gainers.

On the contrary, the top losers in the index included State Bank of India (-2.39%), Eternal (-1.51%), ITC Ltd (-1.21%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (-1.13%) and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) (-1.10%).

NIFTY Midcap 100 top gainers and losers

The NSE Midcap gauge ended at 63,855.70, marking a 392.15-point or 0.62% jump.

It was supported by gains in Hitachi Energy India (10.58%), One 97 Communications (9.88%), Info Edge (India) (4.63%), Multi Commodity Exchange of India (4.60%) and BSE (4.02%), which were among the top winners.

The stock of Hitachi Energy India surged as its net profit in the April-June period surged 123% to ₹294 crore from ₹132 crore in the same period last year on the back of a surge in electrification in the country.

On the flipside, Bharat Forge shares closed 7.60% lower, as the company reported a consolidated net loss of ₹90 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, as compared to a net profit of ₹293 crore for the same quarter of the last fiscal year.

On a standalone basis, the forged and machined components manufacturer also posted a 5% decline in net profit at ₹321 crore for Q1 FY27. It had reported a net profit of ₹339 crore in the same period a year ago.

It was followed by Page Industries (-3.11%), Bank of India (-2.76%), Lupin (-2.69%) and FSN E-Commerce Ventures (-2.50%), which were among the top laggards.

NIFTY Smallcap 100 top gainers and losers

The NIFTY Smallcap index declined by 53.85 points or 0.27% to close at 19,813.95.

Its top losers included Inox Wind (-5.77%), Amber Enterprises India (-4.57%), Afcons Infrastructure (-4.48%), Ola Electric Mobility (-4.26%) and HBL Engineering (-4.14%).

Shares of Ola Electric Mobility fell, as investors focused on the subdued volumes, lower margins, higher competition and cash burn concerns in the upcoming period despite the EV maker reducing Q1 FY27 losses.

On the other hand, its top gainers were BEML (5.45%), Pine Labs (4.90%), Sai Life Sciences (4.67%), Brigade Enterprises (4.48%) and Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd (3.45%).
