In commodities, oil prices edged higher on Thursday due to supply concerns triggered by escalating geopolitical tensions amid the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.

Brent crude futures for January rose 28 cents, or 0.4%, to $73.09. US West Texas Intermediate crude futures for January rose 28 cents, or 0.4%, at $69.03.

The domestic equity market was closed on Wednesday, November 20, on account of assembly elections in Maharashtra.

Adani Group stocks: Shares of Adani Group companies will be on investors' radar on Thursday, November 21, as Gautam Adani, the chairman of the conglomerate and one of the world's richest people, has been indicted in New York over his role in an alleged multibillion-dollar bribery and fraud scheme, US prosecutors said on Wednesday.

"Authorities said Adani and seven other defendants, including his nephew Sagar Adani, agreed to pay about $265 million in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain contracts expected to yield $2 billion of profit over 20 years and develop India's largest solar power plant project," Reuters reported. 

Godrej Properties: Godrej Properties Ltd has acquired 53 acres of land in Kolkata to build a residential plotted development project that will have a revenue potential of around ₹500 crore.
Dr Reddy's: Dr Reddy's Laboratories Ltd on Tuesday said the US health regulator has issued a Form 483 with seven observations to its active pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturing facility in Bollaram, Hyderabad.

"The US Food & Drug Administration (USFDA) today completed a GMP inspection at our API manufacturing facility (CTO-2) in Bollaram, Hyderabad," Dr Reddy's Laboratories Ltd (DRL) said in a regulatory filing.

It added that the inspection took place from November 13–19, 2024.

GRSE: Defence PSU Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) Ltd on Tuesday signed a contract with the transport department of the West Bengal government for 13 hybrid ferries, an official said.

The ferries will be operated on the River Hooghly by the West Bengal Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (WBTIDCL).

NLC India: NLC India on November 20 announced it will invest ₹3,720 crore in its wholly owned subsidiary, NLC India Renewables Ltd, in tranches to carry out green energy projects.

Additionally, NLC India said that, as part of an asset monetisation plan, it will transfer renewable assets to NIRL in exchange for a stake in the green energy company.

PSP Projects: Billionaire Gautam Adani's Adani Infra will buy a 30.07% stake in construction firm PSP Projects for ₹685.36 crore as it looks to consolidate its construction capabilities.

Adani Infra, a unit of Adani Group's flagship firm Adani Enterprises, will buy the shares from Prahladbhai S Patel, who leads PSP Projects and is its top shareholder, the construction firm said in a stock exchange filing.

The ports-to-energy group will also make an open offer post the acquisition.

UPL: Agrochemical manufacturer UPL on Wednesday announced its plans for a rights issue worth ₹3,377 crore. The company is planning to issue 9.38 crore shares. It has priced its issue at ₹360 per share at a 34% discount to its current market price of ₹547. So far in 2024, the stock of UPL has declined by 7%. Till October 2024, 17 companies have raised ₹17,728 crore.
Bharti Airtel: Finnish telecom gear supplier Nokia has won a multi-year, multi-billion deal from Bharti Airtel to deploy 4G and 5G equipment across key Indian cities and states, a release said on Wednesday.

According to the contract, Nokia will deploy equipment from its 5G AirScale portfolio, including base stations, baseband units, and the latest generation of Massive MIMO radios, all powered by its energy-efficient 'ReefShark System-on-Chip technology.'.

Tata Power: The company on Tuesday said it has entered into a strategic partnership with Bhutan's Druk Green Power Corporation Ltd (DGPC) for the development of 5,000 MW of clean energy capacity in the Himalayan nation.

DGPC is a subsidiary of Druk Holding and Investments Ltd, the sole generation utility of Bhutan.

The collaboration marks the largest partnership between two of the leading power companies of the two nations in Asia's clean energy sector, Tata Power said in a statement.

JSW Steel: On Tuesday, the steel major said it had been declared the preferred bidder for Codli Mineral Block XII at Dharbandora in Goa.

The company has received a communication from the Office of the Director, Directorate of Mines & Geology, Government of Goa, JSW Steel said in an exchange filing.

"The company is declared as 'Preferred Bidder' with the highest final offer price at 92.60% of the value of mineral dispatched," it said.
