Bharti Airtel shares rose after the company announced partnership with Blinkit for SIM delivery
NIFTY50 and SENSEX surged more than 2% reacting to positive gains in the Asian markets as US President Donald Trump provided some relief on previously announced trade tariffs. At 12:30 PM, the SENSEX was up 1,661 points, or 2.21%, at 76,818, while the broader NIFTY50 index rose 513 points, or 2.25%, to 23,341.
Over the weekend, the US President Donald Trump removed some of the import items like smartphones, computers, and other electronic devices from its planned “reciprocal” tariffs, leading to a relief rally in global stock markets. Earlier this month, Trump had announced steep tariffs on all US imports but delayed implementation by 90 days to reach tariff agreements with several countries.
Additionally, fall in the US dollar index, ease in crude oil prices and strong rise in Asian markets supported the positive sentiments in Indian markets.
The volatility index, or India VIX, declined over 18% to 16.4. All the sectoral indices were trading in the green, with NIFTY Realty (+4.5%), NIFTY Auto (3.4%) and NIFTY Metal (+2.6%) among the top gainers.

Bharti Airtel shares rose after the company announced partnership with the quick commerce platform, Blinkit, for the delivery of SIM cards to its customers within ten minutes. This service will be live in 16 cities, including metropolises such as Delhi, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Sonipat, Ahmedabad, Surat, Chennai, Bhopal, Indore, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Lucknow, Jaipur, Kolkata, and Hyderabad. The company plans to add more cities and towns over a period of time.
Last week, Indus Tower executed the transaction for purchase of passive infrastructure business undertaking from Bharti Airtel. In Feburary 2025, Indus Towers announced acquisition of 16,100 telecom towers from Airtel and Bharti Hexacom in a ₹3,308.7 crore all-cash deal.
Bajaj Finance reported 36% YoY rise in new loan booked to 10.7 million in Q4FY25, while its Assets under management (AUM) grew by 26% to approximately ₹ 4.16 lakh crore as of 31 March 2025. Customer franchise as of 31 March 2025 stood at 101.82 million. The company will announce its March quarter results on April 29.
Interglobe Aviation shares nearly 4% today to hit 52-week high of ₹5,347 per share. IndiGo shares has outperformed the markets by raing over 15% so far this year. Strong domestic demand, ease in international crude oil prices has supported the company’s stock price.
