Over the weekend, the US President Donald Trump removed some of the import items like smartphones, computers, and other electronic devices from its planned “reciprocal” tariffs, leading to a relief rally in global stock markets. Earlier this month, Trump had announced steep tariffs on all US imports but delayed implementation by 90 days to reach tariff agreements with several countries.

Additionally, fall in the US dollar index, ease in crude oil prices and strong rise in Asian markets supported the positive sentiments in Indian markets.
