At 12:30 PM, the S&P BSE SENSEX was trading at 75,616.44, down 522.53 points, or 0.69%, while the NSE's NIFTY50 index was trading at 22,837.25, down 194.15 points, or 0.84%.

Senco Gold: Shares of Senco Gold on Friday tumbled over 19% during the morning trade after the company reported almost 70% loss in its profit for the October-December quarter for the current fiscal.

The jewellery chain’s consolidated net profit for the December quarter declined 69.4% to ₹33.4 crore as compared to ₹109.3 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. However, its revenue from operations saw a 27.3% rise at ₹2,102.5 crore as compared to ₹1,652.2 crore in Q3FY23.

During intraday, shares of the company tanked 19.05% at ₹361.8 apiece on BSE.

Senco Gold’s EBITDA also declined by 56% year-on-year (YoY) at ₹79.9 crore as against ₹181.1 crore in the same quarter last financial year. EBITDA margin during the reporting stood at 3.8% as against 11% year-on-year. Read more
Godfrey Phillips: Shares of tobacco manufacturer Godfrey Phillips India rose over 15% on Friday after the company posted strong numbers for the quarter ended December 2024.

The stock was trading 15.61% higher at ₹5,780 per share on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) at 11:20 am. Its market capitalisation stands at ₹30,057.95 crore. On the BSE, it gained 16.38% to ₹5,799.10 apiece.

Godfrey Phillips India reported a 48.74% increase in its consolidated net profit to ₹315.85 crore in the third quarter of the fiscal year 2024-25. In the year-ago period, the post-tax profit was ₹212.35 crore. Read more
Manappuram Finance: Shares of Manappuram Finance slipped over 8% after the company’s net profit halved in the December quarter amid stress in its microfinance business.

Manappuram’s consolidated net profit declined 51.3% to ₹278.46 crore in the third quarter of the financial year 2024-2025 as against ₹525.07 crore in Q3FY24.

However, the company’s total revenue from operations grew marginally by 2.8% to ₹2559.72 crore as compared to ₹2633.1 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal year.

During the intraday trade, the share of Manappuram Finance slipped 8.49% to ₹177.75 apiece on BSE. Read more
Deepak Nitrate: Shares of chemical manufacturing company Deepak Nitrite nosedived on Friday after the company released its financial results for the third quarter of the financial year 2024-25.

The stock plunged 13.18% to ₹1,943.30 apiece on the NSE at 9:56 am. The market capitalisation stands at ₹26,514.13 crore. On the BSE, shares were trading 13.08% lower at ₹1,944.20 per unit.

Deepak Nitrite reported a 51.45% decline in its consolidated net profit to ₹98.09 apiece in the quarter ended December 2024. In the year-ago period, the post-tax profit was ₹202.05 crore.

UBL: Shares of United Breweries (UBL), India's largest beer company and a part of the HEINEKEN Company, surged as much as 6.68% to ₹2,166 apiece on the NSE on Friday, a day after the company released its financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2024 (Q3 FY25).

However, the stock pared gains later. Last seen, the share price was trading at ₹2,047.50, up 0.85%.

For the quarter ended December 31, 2024, the company reported a 10% YoY rise in its standalone sales at ₹1,998 crore. UBL had posted a profit of ₹1,823 crore in the year-ago period. EBIT, or earnings before interest and taxes, fell 24% YoY to ₹90 crore.

Hindalco: Shares of Aditya Birla Group firm Hindalco Industries traded in the positive territory after the company released a robust set of numbers for the latest December quarter.

In early trade, the stock rose as much as 2.24% to ₹616 apiece on the National Stock Exchange. At 9:27 am, it was up 0.63% to ₹606.30 per share.

Hindalco Industries' consolidated net profit advanced 60% to ₹3,735 crore in the third quarter of the current fiscal year, compared to ₹2,331 crore in the year-ago period. The company's total income increased 10.94% to ₹58,899 crore as against ₹53,088 crore a year back.

NATCO Pharma: Shares of NATCO Pharma slumped to their intraday low of ₹867.60 apiece, down 11.02% on the NSE on Friday on the back of weak third-quarter results.

On Thursday, the drug manufacturer cracked the lower circuit at ₹975.05 per equity price, down 19.99% on the NSE. The stock hit the lower circuit at ₹973.35 and closed at ₹973.4 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The pharmaceutical reported a 37.75% year-on-year decline in its consolidated net profit to ₹132.4 crore in the third quarter of the 2024-25 financial year (Q3 FY25) caused by a fall in formulations exports. Read more
Lupin: Shares of the pharma major lost over 5% on Friday as various analysts revised their outlook for the company after its December quarter earnings.

During the intraday trade, Lupin was trading at ₹1,945.55 apiece, falling 5.36% on BSE.

The pharma major had reported a 38.8% rise in its consolidated net profit at ₹858.9 crore for Q3FY25 against ₹618.7 crore logged in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

Sales for the quarter under review came in at ₹5,618.6 crore, up 10.6% against ₹5,079.9 crore registered in the December 2023 quarter.

Concord Biotech: Shares of Concord Biotech declined over 14%, a day after the firm declared it weak December quarter numbers.

In October-December period, Concord’s consolidated profit after tax fell 2% to ₹75.9 crore as compared to ₹77.6 crore in Q3FY24. Its revenue from operations advanced marginally by a percent to ₹244.2 crore as against 240.8 core in corresponding quarter previous fiscal.

At 12 PM, Concord Biotech shares was trading at ₹1,786.85 on BSE, tanking 15.31% on BSE.

The company’s EBITDA during the reporting quarter also declined by 8% to ₹98 crore as against 105.9 crore in Q3FY24.

Vodafone Idea: Shares of the telecom major tanked over 5% on Friday after Supreme Court dismissed a set of review petitions filed by telecom companies seeking to overturn its 2021 order, which had refused to allow corrections of errors or unintended additions in the telecom department’s calculation of adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues.

During the intraday trade, Vodafone Idea was trading at ₹8.18 apiece, declining 5.43% on BSE.
