Puravankara shares rally 5% on bagging project in Chennai worth ₹175 crore; all you need to know

Puravankara shares jumped as much as 5% to touch an intraday high of ₹227.34 apiece on Friday, August 21, as the company secured an order in Chennai.

Worth ₹175 crore, the project involves execution of civil and structural works for construction of the Ritz-Carlton Project at MRC Nagar in Chennai.

The order is awarded by Red Connect Private to Puravankara’s wholly owned subsidiary firm Starworth Infrastructure & Construction.

Puravankara Q1 earnings

The realty firm had reported a profit after tax (PAT) of ₹25 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to a loss of ₹69 crore in Q1 FY26, while the EBITDA margin expanded to 25% from 15%.

Its total revenue for Q1 FY27 stood at ₹877 crore, up 63% year-on-year (YoY) from ₹539 crore in Q1 FY26. The operating inflows for the quarter stood at ₹1,423 crore against operating outflows of ₹1,078 crore, resulting in an operating surplus of ₹345 crore.

The company handed over 745 homes covering 0.94 msft during the quarter, up from 667 units in Q1 FY26, sustaining the execution momentum built through FY26.

In Q1 FY27, the company recorded pre-sales of ₹1,439 crore, up 28% year-on-year, on sales volume of 1.36 million sq. ft. across 1,017 units.

In the reporting quarter, Puravankara announced four land transactions in Bengaluru spanning approximately 41.93 acres, with a cumulative development potential of around 4.23 msft.

Purvankara share price trends

At 2:50 PM, Purvankara shares were trading at ₹220.14 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, gaining 1.73%.

The stock has tanked 9% so far since the beginning of 2026, while on a year-on-year basis, it has fallen 23%.

Shares of the firm had hit a 52-week high of ₹305 on September 2, 2025, and a 52-week low of ₹160.69 on March 30, 2026.

The company has so far completed 97 projects totalling 59 million sq ft area across nine cities: Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Mangaluru, Kochi, Mumbai, Pune, and Goa.

According to NSE data, as of August 21, 2026, Purvankara has a total market capitalisation of ₹5,223.22 crore.
