NIFTY up 0.81%, SENSEX above 83,100-mark in noon deals; ABB India, CIE Automotive, NTPC Green among buzzing stocks

Equity benchmark indices NIFTY and SENSEX recovered their early losses and were trading in green on Friday due to buying in banking and capital goods shares.

The SENSEX was trading 610 points higher at 83,108, while NIFTY gained 0.81% to 22,660 at 12:29 pm.

Among the NIFTY constituents, Hindalco, L&T, Hindustan Unilever, NTPC, BEL, Power Grid, JSW Steel, Bajaj Finance, Tata Steel, Nestle India and Kotak Mahindra Bank, among others, were the yop gainers.

Infosys, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tech Mahindra, Kwality Wall's, Eternal, Grasim, HCLTech and HDFC Bank were the laggards.

ABB India share price

Shares of integrated power equipment maker ABB India climbed as much as 8.75% to ₹6,220 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) after the company released its earnings for the fourth quarter of the calendar year 2025.

In Q4 CY25, the company recorded an 18% decline in its consolidated net profit to ₹432.85 crore, compared to ₹528.41 crore in the year-ago period.

Its revenue from operations advanced 5.7% to ₹3,557.01 crore in Q3 CY2025 as against ₹3,557.01 crore in the year-ago period.

The company's board of directors also recommended a final dividend of ₹29.59 per share, subject to shareholders' nod at the ensuing annual general meeting. The record date is fixed as May 2.

CIE Automotive

Shares of automotive components manufacturer CIE Automotive India are up 0.81% to ₹463.1 per unit on the NSE after its Q4 CY25 profit after tax climbed 10.44% year-on-year to ₹204.3 crore.

Its consolidated revenue from operations surged 13.41% to ₹2,392.99 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2025, as against ₹2,109.95 crore in the year-ago period.

The company's board also recommended a final dividend of ₹7 per share, subject to shareholders' approval at the upcoming AGM. The record date is April 22.

NTPC Green Energy

NTPC Green Energy, in an exchange filing on Friday, said its unit NTPC Renewable Energy has begun commercial supply of 165 megawatts from the second part of its 1,200 MW Khavda-II solar project in Gujarat.

"The current commercial capacity of NTPC Green Energy Limited Group stands at 8,827.68 MW. With the addition of this capacity, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group has increased to 8,992.68 MW," a regulatory filing said.

The stock is trading 0.59% lower at ₹89.98 apiece on the NSE.

Novartis India

Shares of drugmaker Novartis India are trading with gains of 14.64% at ₹952 per unit on the NSE after the company's promoter, Novartis AG, said that it has entered into a deal with ChrysCapital, Two Infinity Partners and WaveRise Investments to sell its entire stake in the Indian business.

As per the share purchase agreement (SPA), Novartis AG will offload 17,450,680 shares, representing a 70.68% stake in the firm. WaveRise Investments will acquire 56.45% equity at ₹860.64 per equity share, while ChrysCapital Trust I and Two Infinity Partners will acquire 10.32% and 3.91% stake, respectively, at the price of ₹701.25 per share.

KPI Green Energy

KPI Green Energy shares are trading at ₹399 apiece, up 1%, on the NSE after the company successfully completed a 92.4 megawatt (MW) wind power project for Ayana Renewable Power Four at Gujarat's Bhuj.

"The project comprises 28 wind turbine generators (WTGs). Company has completed all works under its scope, including Balance of Plant (BOP), Power Substation (PSS), EHV transmission line, and erection and installation of the WTGs," it said in an exchange filing.
