Benchmark equity indices NIFTY and SENSEX rallied on Thursday due to buying in blue-chip stocks and fresh foreign fund inflows. A firm trend in Asian markets also contributed positivity in domestic equities.

NIFTY accelerated 0.80% to 24,816, while SENSEX went up by 627 points to 81,625 at 12:40 pm. From the NIFTY firms, Eternal, Dr Reddy's, Trent, Power Grid, Shriram Finance, Reliance and Grasim were among the biggest winners.

IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finance, Maruti and Axis Bank were among the laggards.

Buzzing stocks on June 5

Newgen Software share price: Shares of the global software company rose 1.8% to ₹1,247 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) at 12:40 pm after it bagged a $2.5 million international order for the procurement of an enterprise workflow and content management system.

In an exchange filing, the company said that contract needs to be executed within five years. The "order includes supply of Newgen’s product and its implementation for the customer digital transformation across multiple lines of business," it added.

RailTel share price: The telecom infrastructure provider has bagged a letter of intent (LoI) from Maharashtra's Motor Vehicles Department for "design, implement, operate and maintain Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) on various blackspots/vulnerable spots in the Vidarbha Circle for a period of 10 years."

The estimated order size is ₹274.40 crore. Following the development, the stock climbed 3.3% to ₹456.2 per unit.

Eternal share price: Shares of food delivery platform Zomato's parent company climbed 5.4% to ₹259 apiece on the NSE after a positive outlook from global investment banking firm Morgan Stanley.

The company's market capitalisation stands at ₹2,49,944.08 crore, while the free float m-cap is ₹1,79,414.96 crore.

Central Bank share price: The stock advanced 0.47% to ₹40.41 on the NSE after the state-run lender acquired a 24.91% equity stake in Future Generali India Insurance Company Limited (FGIICL).

The bank picked 35,06,30,136 equity shares, consisting of a 24.91% stake in the insurer, for ₹451 crore. "The bank is venturing into insurance sector. FGIICL is an established player in its industry which is available for acquisition at a reasonable valuation," it said in a regulatory filing.

Garden Reach Shipbuilders share price: Shares of the Kolkata-based firm ascended 4.5% to ₹3,506 on the NSE after signing multiple deals.

In an exchange filing on Thursday, the company announced that it has signed an MoI with Carsten Rehder Schiffsmakler und Reederei GmbH & Co. KG, Germany, to construct follow-on 7,500 DWT multi-purpose vessels on June 4. It also signed an MoU with Dubai-based Aries Marine for offshore platform and vessel design.

GRSE also signed another MoU with a global engine manufacturer.
