The shares came under buying interest as the company launched its new convertible chest freezer range, marking its entry into India’s chest freezer segment.
At around 2:22 PM, the stock was trading 2.12% higher at ₹1,662.70 per equity share. The scrip has risen 1% in the past week and 12% on a year-to-date (YTD) basis.
While the stock hit a 52-week high of ₹1,755 per equity share on August 17, 2025, it touched a year’s low of ₹1,304.10 per unit on April 2, 2026.
In a regulatory filing, the company said that it has launched its convertible chest freezer range, marking a significant expansion to its refrigeration portfolio.
With the launch, LG Electronics India stated that it brings its “expertise in cooling technology to the evolving cold-storage requirements of businesses across retail, HoReCa, dairy, ice cream, pharma and food storage, along with home consumption”.
It added that the new range allows users to switch the chest freezer between chilling and deep-freezing modes across a wide temperature range of −31°C to +10°C, “giving business owners the flexibility to adapt storage to changing needs without investing in multiple appliances”.
The LG Convertible Chest Freezer portfolio comprises six models across 102L, 205L, 315L and 530L gross capacities, available across PRO and PLUS series variants, it further said.
Furthermore, the firm said the new range will be available in capacities and configurations designed to meet different business needs, with prices ranging from ₹28,990 to ₹62,990.
Commenting on the development, Young Min Hwang, Home Appliances Solution Sales Division Leader at LG Electronics India, said: “Commercial refrigeration is an important and evolving opportunity in India, with businesses across retail, HoReCa, dairy, ice cream, pharma and food storage looking for reliable and flexible solutions to meet their growing cooling and storage needs. Our entry into the chest freezer category is a natural extension of LG Electronics Refrigeration portfolio and reflects our commitment to addressing these diverse business requirements.”
He added that with the new range, the company is bringing together LG Electronics' focus on “technology, energy efficiency, durability and ease of operation to deliver solutions that are designed around the practical needs of businesses”.
The household appliances manufacturing firm reported a net profit of ₹652 crore for the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27 (Q1 FY27), marking a jump of 27% from ₹513 crore in the same period last year.
The company's revenue from operations grew 15% to ₹7,233 crore in the April-June quarter as compared to ₹6,263 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. This was driven by volume- and value-led growth.
