The Indian stock market staged a sharp rally on Thursday, November 5, as investors focused on the sharp correction in global crude prices, a pullback in bond yields, massive FII buying interest and improving sentiment about the West Asia conflict.
The optimism was further reinforced by broadly strong earnings from Indian companies, adding to the momentum behind the market’s spectacular surge.
The broader market was also trading positive, with both the NIFTY Midcap 100 and Nifty Smallcap 100 rising over 1.5% on Thursday.
On a year-on-year basis, the NIFTY50 index has, however, declined 5%, while NIFTY Midcap 100 and NIFTY Smallcap 100 have gained 0.7% and 4.6%, respectively.
