Airtel Q2 revenue and net profit expectations

Bharti Airtel’s Q2 consolidated revenue may rise 13% to 15% YoY to between ₹59,200 crore and ₹59,985 crore, aided by steady subscriber additions, improving average revenue per user (ARPU) and growth in its Africa business. The company reported revenue of ₹52,145 crore in the same quarter last year and ₹58,539 crore in the previous quarter.

Net profit could rise 23% to 29% YoY to between ₹8,350 crore and ₹8,765 crore. That would also be a 2% to 7% rise over the previous quarter. The company’s net profit stood at ₹6,792 crore in Q2FY26 and ₹8,167 crore in the previous quarter.

Experts believe Airtel’s ARPU could rise 1% to 3% sequentially to around ₹268 to ₹269, helped by the higher number of days in the quarter. During the Q2 results, investors and traders will watch key metrics such as Airtel’s market share gains, growth in the Africa business, ARPU growth and new subscriber additions.

Ahead of the Q2 results, Bharti Airtel shares closed flat at ₹2,067 on Wednesday, November 4. So far this year, the stock is down nearly 2%.

Airtel technical outlook ahead of Q2 results

Bharti Airtel has rallied about 19% from its October 1 low of ₹1,740, and on Tuesday it broke above ₹1,992, the level that held it back in August. The stock is trading well above its 20-day and 50-day moving averages, and the shorter average moved above the longer one in late October.

After such a quick rally, however, the stock is now stretched about 7% above its 20-day average, and a pause or small pullback would not be unusual. The ₹1,992 breakout level is now the key support to watch. As long as the stock stays above it, the uptrend remains intact. On the upside, ₹2,110 is the next hurdle, and a close above it would extend the rally.

Airtel options: a narrow move priced in

The options market expects Airtel to move around ± 3.7% in either direction by the November 23 expiry, which puts the expected range at roughly ₹1,990 to ₹2,140. The lower end of this range sits right at the ₹1,992 breakout level, and the upper end is just above the ₹2,110 resistance.

Airtel has usually reacted calmly to its results. In the last 12 quarters, the stock moved more than 3.7% on the day after its results only once, a 5.2% rise after the Q4FY26 numbers, and it ended higher the next day in 8 of those 12 quarters.

Options strategy for Airtel Q2 results

If you expect the stock to stay in a range: A short straddle could be considered. The strategy makes profit if the stock stays between roughly ±3.7% until the November expiry. However, the range is narrow and the stock is in a strong uptrend. Strict stop-losses are important, and traders can limit the risk by buying a call and a put further away from the current price.

If you expect a sharp move after the results, a long straddle could be considered. The strategy makes profit if Airtel moves beyond ±3.7%. However, Airtel has rarely moved this much after its results, and option premiums usually fall once the results are out, so the move needs to come quickly for this trade to work.
