The Indian stock market has been trading lower in the afternoon session on Wednesday, August 26, dragged by IT and consumer durable stocks. While the markets opened in the green, they pared their early gains.

However, shares of oil-linked stocks and oil marketing companies (OMCs) were trading higher as investors focused on the third consecutive day of declining crude oil prices in the global market amid mixed cues from the West Asia conflict.

At 2:30 PM, the S&P BSE SENSEX was trading flat down at the 77,633.74 level, while the NSE's NIFTY50 was trading at the 24,277.4 level, losing 57.15 points, or 0.23%.

Despite the stock market being majorly flat, there were few stocks that hit their all-time high levels on Wednesday.

Anthem Biosciences

Incorporated in 2006, Anthem Biosciences is an innovation-driven contract research, development, and manufacturing organisation (CRDMO). Anthem Biosciences is one of the few companies in India with integrated new chemical entity (NCE) and new biological entity (NBE) capabilities across drug discovery, development, and commercial manufacturing.

The company was listed on the stock exchanges on July 21, 2025.

For the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27), Anthem Biosciences had reported a consolidated net profit of ₹120 crore, down 12% from ₹136 crore a year earlier. Its revenue from operations also slipped 23% year-on-year to ₹418 crore, compared with ₹540 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.

From the beginning of the year, the stock has rallied 44%, while for a month’s period, it has jumped 16%. Apart from hitting its all-time high level, the stock has also touched its 52-week high level of ₹920.70 apiece on Wednesday.

Karur Vysya Bank

Shares of Karuru Vysya Bank witnessed a significant jump on Wednesday. The private sector bank had reported a healthy Q1 performance, which was supported by the lender’s interest income growth for the period under review and falling provisions for bad loans.

The company recorded an overall increase in revenues from treasury, wholesale banking, and retail banking operations in the June quarter.

Market experts had predicted that the bank continues to witness strong operating momentum as shown in the Q1 results, and asset quality and growth remain positive, while margin improvement is expected to take time.

Divi’s Lab

Divi's Laboratories had posted a strong performance in Q1 FY27, with consolidated net profit rising 66% YoY to ₹902 crore, compared with ₹545 crore in the year-ago period.

Its revenue from operations increased 28% annually to ₹3,080 crore in Q1 FY27, up from ₹2,410 crore in the same quarter last year. Its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) jumped 72% yearly to ₹1,255 crore from ₹729 crore a year ago.

The company’s EBITDA margin expanded to 41% in Q1 FY27 from 30% in the corresponding quarter last year.

TVS Motor Company

The company reported its highest-ever quarterly revenue of ₹13,896 crore, up 38% from ₹10,081 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

TVS Motor also posted a record EBITDA of ₹1,779 crore, marking a 41% year-on-year increase from ₹1,260 crore. Its EBITDA margin improved by 30 basis points to 12.8%, compared with 12.5% in the year-ago period.

Profit after tax (PAT) rose 51% to ₹1,174 crore from ₹776 crore in the June quarter of FY26. The company said the reported PAT includes a fair valuation gain of ₹150 crore on investments, compared with a fair valuation gain of ₹28 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
