Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals and Paradeep Phosphates are the only two companies in the NIFTY500 index where promoters have consistently increased their stakes for the fourth consecutive quarter, data from Ace Equity showed.
In contrast, at the end of the March quarter (Q4 FY26), promoters of 20 NIFTY500 companies had raised their stakes, indicating that promoter buying became more selective in the June quarter.
Meanwhile, in the first quarter of FY27 (Q1 FY27), the 30-share S&P BSE Sensex gained 6.3%, while the NSE Nifty50 advanced 6.87%, or 1,534 points, from its March-end level of 22,331.
