Just Dial shares surge 10% to hit upper circuit; here’s what is driving the rally on Friday

Just Dial shares rallied 10% to hit the upper circuit at ₹704.55 apiece on Friday, August 28, as the investors turned optimistic following the company’s change in management.

Last month, the firm had announced the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and a Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Just Dial’s board of directors had approved the appointment of Dinkar Ayilavarapu as the designated CEO and key managerial personnel of the company with effect from July 10, 2026.

Furthermore, V.S.S. Mani, the company’s previous CEO and Managing Director, completed his term on July 31, 2026.

Just Dial’s board had also approved the appointment of Dinesh Taluja as the CFO and key managerial personnel with effect from Saturday, July 11, 2026.

Market experts on Friday said the new management is looking to increase its focus on merchant acquisition and return on investment (RoI) by enhancing new product launches. The management is also looking to drive higher growth in collections from the business-to-business (B2B) segment.

It also plans to focus on other verticals where there is limited or no competition. These steps could help improve collections growth, which stood at 1.6% year-on-year in FY2026.

Just Dial share price trends

On Friday, Just Dial shares opened at ₹655 apiece on the National Stock Exchange and touched an upper circuit of ₹704.55 per share. It had touched an intraday low of ₹653.35 per share.

From the beginning of the year, Just Dial shares have slipped 3%. Over a month’s time, the stock has dropped 3.2%, while for a six-month period, it has climbed 28%.

Shares of the firm had hit a 52-week high of ₹878.60 on October 13, 2025, and a 52-week low of ₹480.50 on March 30, 2026.

Just Dial Q1 FY27 earnings

The internet technology firm reported a 4.1% year-on-year (YoY) increase in its net profit to ₹166.22 crore in the June quarter of FY27, compared with ₹159.65 crore in the year-ago period.

Its net revenue from operations soared 9.9% YoY to ₹327.47 crore during the quarter under review, as against ₹297.86 crore in the first quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year (Q1 FY26).

At an operational level, its EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) stood at ₹87.4 crore in Q1 FY27, marking a 1.1% YoY rise from ₹86.4 crore in the corresponding period of FY26.

It posted a healthy EBITDA margin of 26.7%. However, it was down by 233 basis points (bps) from 29% in the June quarter of FY26.

It clocked advertising spending of approximately ₹10.2 crore during the quarter.

According to NSE data, as of August 28, 2026, Just Dial has a total market capitalisation of ₹5,992.13 crore.
