Its revenue rose 38% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹2,908 crore in the quarter ended September 30, while earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) more than doubled to ₹421 crore from ₹190 crore a year earlier, the company said in a statement.

Vedanta Oil and Gas

The stock of Vedanta Oil and Gas rallied as much as 18.1% to hit an intraday high of ₹32.90 per equity share on the NSE, as the firm posted a net profit of ₹746 crore for the second quarter of FY27 as a spike in oil prices helped offset a fall in production.

Oil and gas production dropped 19% YoY to 72,200 barrels of oil and oil equivalent gas per day. The firm realised a 40% higher price of $97 per barrel in the quarter as compared to $69.1 per barrel.

Shares of air carrier InterGlobe Aviation, the parent company of IndiGo, surged as much as 4.15% to hit an intraday high of ₹4,869 apiece on Friday, October 30, as the company saw its net loss narrow and reported a surge in revenue.

Analysts made note of the company’s better-than-expected EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation), along with its focus on pricing over capacity as jet fuel prices increased. IndiGo guided its PRASK (passenger revenue per available seat kilometer) to grow over 25% in Q3 and FY27.

According to a regulatory filing, the budget air carrier reported a consolidated net loss of ₹1,878.6 crore in Q2 FY27, compared with a loss of ₹2,581.7 crore in the same period last year.

Coal India

Coal India shares drop 3% to touch an intraday low of ₹380.4 apiece on Friday, October 30, after second-quarter earnings as analysts flag e-auction realisations, coal demand, low inventories and FY27 dividend outlook.

The state-owned firm reported an increase of 53% in its consolidated net profit at ₹6,516 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, of financial year 2026-27 (Q2 FY27). Its net profit attributable to the owners for the same quarter in the last fiscal year was at ₹4,259 crore.

According to the company's press release, the retail major reported a 25% YoY increase in consolidated net profit to ₹468 crore for the September quarter, as revenue growth and operating leverage supported earnings amid an inflationary environment.

Consolidated revenue from operations rose 22% to ₹5,873 crore, while operating EBITDA increased 37% to ₹785 crore.

Jio Platforms

Jio Platforms (JPL) shares declined as much as 2.4% to hit an intraday low of ₹1,386.80 apiece, as equity market investors awaited the recently listed company’s upcoming July to September quarter earnings report for the financial year 2026-27.

Jio Platforms investors need to keep a close watch on any potential changes in the average revenue per user (ARPU), which is a financial metric used in the telecom industry to calculate the revenue generated from individual customers in a particular period.

In the Q1 FY27 results, Jio Platforms’ ARPU increased to ₹215.60 levels, supported by the company’s improved subscriber mix and positive seasonality, partly offset by promotional schemes for fixed broadband customers.

Reliance Industries Ltd

The stock of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) fell as much as 1.15% as the company is set to announce its September quarter results on Friday, October 30. At the same board meeting, the company will also consider raising funds through non-convertible debentures (NCDs). The Q2 earnings come just a few days after the listing of Jio Platforms.

As per experts, Reliance Industries’ consolidated Q2 revenue could range between ₹3.12 lakh crore and ₹3.15 lakh crore, up 23% to 24% YoY and 1% to 2% QoQ. The company reported revenue of ₹3.09 lakh crore in the previous quarter and ₹2.54 lakh crore in Q2FY26.

Suzlon Energy

Suzlon Energy shares declined 10% to hit a 52-week low of ₹33.23 apiece on Friday, October 30, as the second-quarter earnings disappointed the market.

The company reported a 69% decline in its consolidated net profit to ₹394 crore for the second quarter of the financial year 2026-27 (Q2 FY27) as against ₹1,279 crore in the same period last year.

Godrej Consumer Products

Godrej Consumer Products (GCPL) shares declined 7.1% to hit a 52-week low of ₹777.20 apiece on Friday’s market, as investors focused on the raw material cost overhang, which impacted the overall margins of the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company in the July to September quarter of FY27.

Despite a YoY rise in consolidated net profits and healthy revenue gains in Q2 earnings, Godrej Consumer Products’ elevated raw material costs added downward pressure on the company’s operating and EBITDA margins.

The latest updates also showed that Godrej Consumer Products’ management maintained its FY27 guidance, anticipating double-digit revenue and EBITDA growth at the consolidated level.

Milky Mist

Milky Mist shares surged 5% to hit its upper circuit and intraday high of ₹319.70 apiece, as investors focused on the dairy product maker’s strong July to September quarter financial performance, with key support from revenue and margin growth in the period.

Milky Mist Dairy Food posted a stellar year-on-year (YoY) consolidated net profit growth of 174.5% to ₹78 crore in the September quarter of FY27, in comparison to ₹28 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.

The company’s revenue from core operations advanced 41.5% YoY to ₹1,089 crore in the second quarter of FY27, in comparison to ₹769 crore in the same period a year earlier, as per the exchange filings.

Although the elevated material costs increased the overall expenses in the September quarter, the company’s margin growth remained unaffected due to the overall increases in sales.
