Heranba Industries shares surge on investing ₹25 crore in agro chemicals subsidiary

Shares of Heranba Industries, the country's leading insecticides and pesticides maker, rose as much as 13.29%, its biggest single day gain in over a year, to hit an intraday high of ₹186.80 on the Monday, August 24, after the company informed exchanges that it has invested ₹25 crore in its subsidiary Mikusu India Private Limited.

"Board of Directors of the Company at their meeting held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, has, inter alia, considered and approved the further investment in the share capital of Mikusu India Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company up to an amount not exceeding INR equivalent to ₹25 Crores by way of Right Issue of Mikusu India Private Limited," Heranba Industries said in a stock exchange filing.

Heranba Industries said that the transaction falls under the related party transaction.

However, since the transaction is with the wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, it is exempted as per Regulation 23 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. Further, Promoter and promoter group have disclosed there interest in proposed transaction. The transaction is undertaken in the ordinary course of business and at arm’s length basis, Heranba Industries said.

Heranaba Industries has made the investment in its subsidiary to support business operations and growth plans of Mikusu India Private Limited.

Mikusu India Private Limited is engaged in the business of agro chemicals and it was incorporated on April 09, 2022.

The company's turnover in FY2025-26 came in at ₹182.68 crore, in FY24-25 turnover was ₹152.40 crore and in FY23-24 turnover was ₹ 92.91 crore.

Heranba Industries net profit in the first quarter of current financial year 19% to ₹7.14 crore from ₹6 crore in the year-ago period.

The company's revenue from operations declined 15% to ₹383 crore from ₹452 crore.

Heranba Industries shares traded 9.23% higher at ₹179.90, outperforming the NIFTY50 index which was down 0.4%.
