The stock soared as much as 10.8% to hit an intraday high of ₹562.45 per equity share on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Wednesday, August 19, compared with Tuesday’s closing price of ₹507.70 per unit.

At around 11:19 AM, the scrip was trading 6.36% higher at ₹540 apiece. It has lost 2% in the past week and 2% over the month. On a year-to-date (YTD) basis, it has fallen 27%.

While the shares hit a 52-week high of ₹1,049.95 per unit on September 16, 2025, it touched a year’s low of ₹429.50 on March 30, 2026.

According to a regulatory filing dated Tuesday, the company said that it received a letter of intent (LOI) on August 18 from REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Ltd.

It received the order for the construction of 220/132/33 kilovolt (kV) Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) Substation in Ranipur (Mau), and 220/132/33kV AIS Substation in Chunar (Mirzapur), with their associated lines, through a tariff-based competitive bidding process in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

In a separate filing dated August 6, H.G. Infra Engineering stated that it acquired equity shares in its wholly owned subsidiary, H.G. Gujarat Bess Private Limited, via rights issues for ₹33.80 crore.

H.G. Infra Engineering Q1 results

The company reported a consolidated net loss of ₹45.14 crore in the first quarter of the 2026-27 financial year (Q1 FY27), compared with a profit of ₹98.82 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal year.

Its consolidated revenue from operations declined by 25.75% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹1,100.59 crore during the quarter under review, as against ₹1,482.20 crore in the April-June quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year (Q1 FY26).

Its order book stood at ₹14,502 crore as of June 30, 2026, the regulatory filing read.
