GPT Infraprojects shares rally 11% on securing an order worth ₹483 crore from RVNL

GPT Infraprojects shares jumped as much as 11% to touch an intraday high of ₹119.13 apiece on Wednesday, September 2, as the firm bagged a major order from the Railway Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL).

In a regulatory filing, the civil construction company said the work order includes the construction of Bridge 544 (32x65.84 m), an open web steel girder bridge over the Mahanadi River at Ch. 406305 m. The bridge is part of the construction of the third and fourth railway lines between the Nergundi-Barang section in the Khurda Road Division of the East Coast Railway.

The actual cost of the project is ₹410 crore, while including GST, the contract value stands at ₹483.7 crore.

Last month, the company had also secured another order worth ₹97.31 crore from the Office of the general manager, North-east Frontier Railway, Guwahati. The order involves the provision of electronic interlocking at ADF (Adina), AZR (Azamnagar Road), KWE (Khurial), MXJ (Mangurjan), TMH (Tinmilehat), CAT (Chatterhat), SUD (Sudhani), TETA (Telta), PJP (Panjipara) and GIL (Gaisal) stations on the HDN/HUN route of the Katihar Division.

By the end of the June quarter of the current fiscal year, GPT Infraprojects’ order inflow was ₹130 crore including incremental orders from existing contracts. Its order backlog, however, remained healthy at ₹4,303 crore.

GPT Infraprojects Q1 FY27 earnings

GPT Infraprojects had reported a 3.4% year-on-year (YoY) decline in consolidated revenue from operations to ₹302 crore in Q1 FY27. Its consolidated EBITDA increased 28.4% YoY to ₹47.5 crore, while the EBITDA margin came in at 15.7%.

The company’s consolidated profit after tax (PAT) after minorities rose 4.9% YoY to ₹24.6 crore, while the PAT margin stood at 8.2%.

On a standalone basis, revenue stood at ₹282.1 crore, down 9% YoY, while PAT declined marginally by 1.1% YoY to ₹22.3 crore.

GPT Infraprojects share price trends

At 2:22 PM, GPT Infraprojects shares were trading at ₹111.01 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, gaining 3.05%.

From the beginning of the year, GPT Infraprojects shares have gained 2.3%. Over a month’s time, the stock has slipped 2%, while for a six-month period, it has declined 7%.

Shares of the firm had hit a 52-week high of ₹150 on June 23, 2026, and a 52-week low of ₹96.22 on March 30, 2025.
