Civil construction company Ceigall India shares surged more than 3% after the opening bell on Friday, September 4, as investors focused on the company’s latest ₹5,300 crore long-term order book update for a power transmission project in Gujarat.

After the opening bell, Ceigall India shares jumped 3.5% to touch an early market high of ₹359.85 apiece during Friday’s market, in comparison to ₹347.55 apiece at the previous equity market close.

As of 9:37 am (IST), the company’s stock was trading 2.6% higher at around ₹356 apiece during the trading session on September 4.

On Thursday evening, the company received a letter of intent from REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) for the development of a major common transmission system in Gujarat.

The company disclosed the order update after market operating hours on September 3.

“The LoI has been awarded for the Common Transmission System for evacuation of power from Lakadia (Phase-II: 7.5 GW), Jam Khambhaliya (Phase-II: 5.5 GW) and Jamnagar (Phase-I: 1 GW) – Part-B project,” the company informed the stock exchanges.

Investors should know that this power transmission project is being developed to transmit power from key renewable energy zones in Gujarat, including Lakadia, Jam Khambhaliya and Jamnagar, for distribution purposes.

How will Ceigall get paid?

As per the payment schedule disclosed in the order update, Ceigall India will receive annual transmission charges of ₹608.67 crore per year over the next 35 years, which is the operational timeline of the project.

The project is estimated to be valued at ₹5,300 crore, including the goods and services tax (GST).

Ceigall India also said that the company expects to take 36 months for the execution of the project, after which the 35-year period of operation will begin.

“This project marks an important milestone in Ceigall India’s journey towards strengthening its presence in the transmission infrastructure segment. The project will contribute to the development of critical power transmission infrastructure in Gujarat and support the efficient evacuation of power from key generation regions,” said Ramneek Sehgal, Managing Director of Ceigall India.

The company management remains committed towards expanding its infrastructure portfolio and leveraging its execution capabilities to participate in projects that support development of critical infrastructure networks in India.

Ceigall India share performance

Ceigall India shares have delivered more than 34% returns to their investors in the past one-year and over 31% returns on their investments on a year-to-date (YTD) basis in 2026, according to NSE data.

In the last one-month, the company’s stock has gained 4.9% and has been trading 4.5% higher in the past five market sessions, according to the exchange data.

Shares of Ceigall India surged to their 52-week high of ₹405.70 apiece on June 30, 2026, while the 52-week low was at ₹222.61 apiece on December 9, 2025.

The civil construction company’s market capitalisation (m-cap) was at ₹6,200 crore as of the trading session on Friday, September 4, 2026.
