Adani Green, NTPC Green, Waaree Energies: How renewable energy stocks performed on March 20

Renewable power stocks settled mixed on Thursday, March 20. Shares of Adani Green, and KPI Green Energy traded in the green.

Waaree Energies share price settled 0.50% lower at ₹2,244 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). The company's market capitalisation stands at ₹64,466.35 crore.

In an exchange filing on Wednesday, the company informed that the shareholders, through a remote e-voting process, have passed the appointment of Amit Ashok Paithankar as a whole-time director and remuneration payable to him.

Shares of Adani Green Energy and Premier Energies climbed 1.14% and 1.64%, respectively.

KPI Green Energy stock ascended 4.1% to ₹415.95 per unit on the NSE.

On Wednesday, the company, in a regulatory filing, said it has received a final sanction letter from the National Bank For Financing Infrastructure and Development for credit facilities worth ₹272 crore for the part financing of a 50 megawatt hybrid power project consistingg of 75.2 MWp solar capacity and 16.75 MW wind capacity at Gujarat's Bharuch.

"This project will be developed under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited. This financial assistance will play a crucial role in developing the project, with the goal of completing it within the stipulated timeframe," the firm said.

Meanwhile, the benchmark NIFTY50 index ended 1.24% higher at 23,190.65, while SENSEX climbed 899 points to 76,348. Bharti Airtel, Titan, Eicher Motrs, Bajaj Auto and Britannia are the top gainers in the NIFTY pack.

IndisInd Bank, Bajaj Finance, Trent and Shriram Finance declined the most.
