The mega initial public offering of Bajaj Housing Finance set a few records on Wednesday after the IPO closed for bidding. It witnessed strong demand for qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) and non-institutional investors.

Bajaj Housing Finance IPO: In numbers

  • Around 89 lakh investors placed bids for Bajaj Housing Finance IPO, which seeks to raise ₹6,560 crore.
  • With applications from more than 89 lakh investors, Bajaj Housing Finance has surpassed record held by Tata Tech IPO, which had received 73.3 lakh applications.
  • The initial share sale attracted bids for 46,28,35,82,522 shares against 72,75,75,756 equity shares on offer, according to consolidated data on NSE.
  • The issue was subscribed 63.61 times as investors placed bids worth over ₹3.2 lakh crore.
  • With a bid amount of over ₹3 lakh crore, the Bajaj Group company has surpassed Coal India IPO, which had received bids worth ₹2.3 lakh crore.
  • Qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) quota was subscribed whopping 209.36 times the portion reserved for them.
  • The part reserved for non-institutional investors (NIIs) attracted 41.51 times the subscription.
  • The portion set aside for retail investors was booked 7.04 times.
  • The quota allotted to shareholders of Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Finserv was subscribed 17.53 times.
  • The employees' portion also saw 2.05 times the subscription.
  • Prior to the IPO, the company had raised ₹1,758 crore from anchor investors.
  • The price band for Bajaj Housing Finance IPO was ₹66-₹70 per share.
  • The IPO consists a fresh issue of ₹3,560 crore and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of shares worth ₹3,000 crore by parent Bajaj Finance.

Bajaj Housing Finance IPO was open from September 9 to September 11. The allotment status will likely be finalised on Thursday, September 12, 2024.

Successful investors' shares will be credited to their Demat accounts on September 13, and unsuccessful investors' funds will be refunded on the same day. The Bajaj Housing Finance IPO listing date is September 16.
