GAIL India Q4 earnings: Standalone net profit declines 47% QoQ; board recommends final dividend

GAIL (India) reported a 47% decline in its standalone net profit quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) to ₹2,049 crore for financial year 2024-25. Its net profit for the preceding quarter of the same fiscal year was at ₹2,049 crore.

The state-owned firm’s revenue increased 2.1% QoQ to ₹35,685 crore compared to ₹34,937 crore in Q3 FY25.

Its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) also advanced 13.3% to ₹3,215 crore for the quarter from ₹2,838 crore in the last quarter of the same year. Margin for the quarter improved 9.01% QoQ, in contrast to 8.1%.

The Maharatna PSU’s Board has recommended a final dividend of 10% (₹1 per equity share) on the paid-up equity share capital of the company, subject to approval of shareholders in the ensuing Annual General Meeting.

The record date for payment of the final dividend would be intimated in due course, it said.

Share price details

Following this, shares of GAIL India were trading 2.08% lower on Tuesday at ₹183.89 apiece on the National Stock Exchange. The stock has lost over 2.5% from its previous close.

In the last five trading days, shares of the PSU firm have declined 2.65%, while for a month’s period, it has surged nearly 3%.

Since November 13, 2024, which is six months ago, GAIL India shares have fallen 2.88%. Year-to-date, it had slipped 3.84%.

The company’s market capitalisation stands at ₹1.21 lakh crore.

The firm had touched its one-year high of ₹246.30 apiece on July 31, 2024, while its 52-week low of ₹150.52 was hit on March 4, 2025.
