Avenue Supermarts, the operator of country's leading retail chain D-Mart, posted a 22.5% year-on-year surge in consolidated net profit at ₹563.3 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2024 (Q4FY24). In the year-ago period, the company's net profit stood at ₹460 crore.
The consolidated revenue in Q4FY24 came in at ₹12,726.6 crore, marking a jump of 20.1% from ₹10,594 crore in Q4FY23.
The earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and ammortisation (EBITDA) was recorded as ₹944 crore in the March 2024 quarter, up 22.3% as compared to ₹771.6 crore in the year-ago quarter. The margin was clocked at 7.4% in Q4FY24, as against 7.3% in Q4FY23.

D-Mart said the basic earnings per share (EPS) during the quarter under review stood at ₹8.66, as compared to ₹7.10 in the same period of the previous fiscal year, as per the consolidated results.
The company, in a release, noted that it opened 24 new stores during the fourth quarter, taking the overall store count to 365.
D-Mart FY24 results
For the entire fiscal year ended March 31, 2024, Avenue Supermarts reported a consolidated net profit of ₹2,536 crore, which was 6.6% higher as against ₹2,378 crore in FY23.
The revenue increased to ₹50,789 crore in FY24, up 18% as compared to ₹42,840 crore in FY23. The EBITDA stood at ₹4,104 crore in FY24, as compared to ₹3,637 crore in FY23.
"We ended the year with growth across key financial parameters of Revenue, EBITDA and PAT. Two years and older DMart stores grew by 9.9% during FY2024 as compared to FY2023. We have 284 stores that are 2 years or older," said Neville Noronha, CEO & Managing Director, Avenue Supermarts.
On May 3, shares of the company settled 0.16% higher at ₹4,612.35 on the NSE.
