CarTrade Tech links CarWale, OLX India with Spinny to boost used-car sales

CarTrade Tech on Wednesday announced a strategic partnership with used-car platform Spinny to strengthen the buying and selling experience for pre-owned vehicles across its CarWale and OLX India platforms.

The partnership will enable consumers selling their cars on CarWale and OLX India to access Spinny's buying services, while buyers on the two platforms will be offered Spinny's inventory of quality-assured used cars.

The companies said the collaboration combines CarTrade Tech's consumer base, technology and data with Spinny's operational capabilities to simplify used-car transactions.

CarTrade Tech said it will use its proprietary VAYA AI platform to instantly connect users on CarWale and OLX India with relevant offerings from Spinny.

According to the company, more than 23 million consumers visit CarWale and OLX India annually to buy or sell used cars.

"Our ambition is to fundamentally improve the way used cars are bought and sold in India. CarWale and OLX India bring together a large base of consumers actively looking to buy and sell used cars. With this partnership, we can make the transaction more seamless and trusted," CarTrade Tech Chairman and Managing Director Vinay Sanghi said.

He said that the collaboration is aligned with the company's strategy of building an integrated automotive ecosystem that supports consumers through the vehicle ownership journey.

Spinny Founder and CEO Niraj Singh said the partnership will help the company reach more customers through CarWale and OLX India while offering a trusted way to complete used-car purchases.

He said the two companies have an opportunity to set new standards for India's used-car market.

CarTrade Tech operates digital automotive platforms including CarWale, BikeWale, Shriram Automall and OLX India.

The company said its platforms attract over 80 million monthly unique users and host more than 63 per cent of India's online used-car listings. It also facilitates auctions of over 1.5 million vehicles annually through its remarketing platforms.
