Airtel hikes postpaid tariffs by ₹50, offers free 5-day international roaming

Bharti Airtel on Wednesday announced a hike in monthly rentals across its postpaid portfolio, while offering customers one free international roaming trip every year as part of the revamped plans.
The new plans will come into effect from Thursday, October 8.
Under the revised portfolio, the individual postpaid plan has been priced at ₹499 per month, up from ₹449 currently, while family plans will also become costlier.
The two-connection family plan will now cost ₹749 per month compared with ₹699 earlier.
The three-connection plan has been raised to ₹1,049 from ₹999, while the four-connection plans will cost ₹1,249, compared with ₹1,199 currently.
The four-connection plan with the added benefit of Netflix subscription will cost ₹1,449.
Airtel is offering one complimentary international roaming pack per SIM every year.
The five-day pack includes 5 GB of data, 60 minutes of calls, 25 outgoing SMS and free incoming SMS.
For customers on family plans, each member covered under the plan will be eligible for one free international roaming trip a year.

The company said customers can activate the complimentary roaming pack at a time of their choice during an overseas trip.
Airtel said its postpaid plans also come with Fast Lane technology on 5G, network-level protection against spam and fraudulent links, and access to entertainment and other benefits through its Postpaid Advantage Club.

“What is more, we offer the customers the best value – through access to entertainment and services that enrich their everyday lives; and now Free International Roaming for them,” he added.
Existing Airtel customers on prepaid or older postpaid plans can upgrade through the Airtel app or Airtel stores.
Non-Airtel customers can switch to the new postpaid plans through the app or stores.
