SUMMARY
Choice Mutual Fund launches a Large & Mid Cap Fund, Motilal Oswal introduces a multi-asset fund, and Nippon India files for two SDL index funds.

Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund has launched the Motilal Oswal Multi Asset – Omni Fund of Funds.
Choice Mutual Fund has entered the actively managed equity segment with the launch of its Large & Mid Cap Fund, while Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund has introduced a multi-asset fund of funds. Separately, Nippon India Mutual Fund has filed offer documents with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for two target-maturity index funds linked to state development loan (SDL) securities.
Choice Mutual Fund has launched the Choice Large & Mid Cap Fund, with its New Fund Offer (NFO) open from October 20 to November 3, 2026. Units are priced at ₹10 each.
The scheme will invest at least 35 per cent each in large-cap and mid-cap stocks, with up to 30 per cent available for small-cap stocks and other permitted instruments.
The scheme is benchmarked against the Nifty Large Midcap 250 Total Return Index. It offers daily and weekly systematic investment plans (SIPs) starting at ₹250 and carries a very high risk rating.
"Our equity schemes so far have been index funds, and with the Choice Large & Mid Cap Fund we now offer an actively managed equity scheme. The mandate is simple to explain: at least 35 per cent each in large and mid cap companies, with the fund manager selecting stocks within it," said Ajay Kejriwal, CEO at Choice Mutual Fund.
Choice Mutual Fund is sponsored by Choice International Ltd, a diversified financial services group headquartered in Mumbai.
The NFO opens for subscription on October 21, 2026, and closes on November 4, 2026. The minimum subscription amount is ₹500, with additional investments permitted in multiples of ₹1.
The scheme aims to generate long-term capital appreciation by primarily investing in a diversified portfolio of active and passive equity-oriented schemes, active and passive debt-oriented schemes, and gold and silver ETFs.
The scheme's performance will be benchmarked against a composite index comprising 60 per cent Nifty 500 TRI, 5 per cent domestic gold prices, 5 per cent domestic silver prices and 30 per cent Nifty Short Duration Debt Index.
The fund managers are Bhalchandra Shinde, Ajay Khandelwal, Swapnil Mayekar and Rakesh Shetty.
There is no entry load. The exit load is 1 per cent for redemptions made on or before 90 days from the date of allotment and nil for redemptions after 90 days.
Both schemes aim to generate returns corresponding to the total returns of their respective CRISIL-IBX SDL indices before expenses.
The NFO price for each scheme will be ₹10 per unit. Both funds will have no entry or exit load and will offer only the growth option. Each scheme seeks to collect a minimum target amount of ₹10 crore.
The minimum application amount is ₹1,000, with additional investments permitted in multiples of ₹1.
The proposed funds will track the CRISIL-IBX SDL indices maturing in June 2037 and June 2032, respectively. The NFO opening and closing dates were not specified in the information provided.
