AMFI June 2026 data: Midcap, small-cap and gold ETF inflows jump, debt fund outflows continue

Large-cap, multi-cap and Large & Midcap funds also witnessed significant inflows in June.

Net inflows into equity mutual funds jumped 26.5% in June 2026, compared to May, according to the latest data released by the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) on July 10, 2026.

The total inflows into equity schemes in June were approximately. ₹28,973 crore, while in May it was approx. ₹22,907 crore.

Data shows Gold ETFs saw inflows of over ₹3,443 crore in June. In May, Gold ETFs had witnessed a net outflow of ₹725 crore.

In the equity category, most schemes, except ELSS and dividend yield funds, saw net inflows in June, indicating investors' continuing belief in mutual funds as a wealth compounding tool. ELSS and dividend yield funds also witnessed outflows in May 2026.

Data shows that net inflows were the highest in mid-cap and small-cap schemes in May at ₹6090 crore and ₹5601 crore, respectively. Inflows into flexi-cap schemes increased slightly to ₹5231 crore in June, compared to ₹5175 crore in May.

Large-cap, multi-cap and Large & Midcap funds also witnessed significant inflows in June.

Negative flows in the ELSS and dividend yield funds means inflows declined or outflows increased.

Meanwhile, the net assets under management (AUM) in the open-ended schemes of the industry increased from approx. ₹81.6 lakh crore in May to approx. ₹82 lakh crore in June 2026.

Hybrid funds witnessed net inflows of ₹1,892 crore with arbitrage funds receiving the most inflows at ₹5799 crore. It was followed by the Multi Asset Allocation Fund category with net inflows of ₹4810 crore.

SIP book grows

Meanwhile, the monthly SIP contributions rose to ₹31,781 crore during June, up from ₹30,954 crore in May. The mutual fund industry's overall net outflow narrowed to ₹52,949 crore in June from an outflow of ₹64,131 crore in May.

Debt funds recorded a net outflow of ₹1.09 lakh crore in June, following a withdrawal of ₹96,948 crore in May. Liquid fund outflows fell to ₹42,293 crore from ₹29,681 crore in May.
