Pensioners can generate their Digital Life Certificate through the Jeevan Pramaan application using face authentication on a compatible smartphone.

Step 1: Download the required apps

Download the Jeevan Pramaan application and the AadhaarFaceRD application from the relevant app store. AadhaarFaceRD supports the face-authentication process.

Step 2: Complete operator authentication

Open the Jeevan Pramaan application and go to the Operator Authentication screen.

Enter the required details, including the Aadhaar number, mobile number and email address. Submit the information and enter the OTP received for verification.

Step 3: Complete face authentication

After operator authentication, enter the pensioner's name as recorded in the official records. Select the required checkbox, allow camera access and follow the on-screen instructions to scan the face.

Read the instructions displayed by the application before proceeding with the scan.

Step 4: Enter pension details

After the face scan, the application will open the Pensioner Authentication screen. Enter the required pension details accurately, including the PPO number, pension type, pension-sanctioning authority, pension-disbursing agency and bank account details, as applicable.

Check the information against the pension records before submitting it.

Step 5: Generate the certificate

Submit the details and complete authentication. Once the process is successful, the Digital Life Certificate will be generated, and the Pramaan ID will be displayed on the screen.

How can SBI pensioners submit a Life Certificate at a bank branch?

Pensioners who prefer to visit a bank can submit their Life Certificate at an SBI branch.

Physical submission: SBI continues to accept physical Life Certificates from pensioners who prefer this method.
Digital submission at a branch: Pensioners can provide their Aadhaar number, mobile number, PPO number and pension account number. Biometric authentication, such as fingerprint verification, is used to generate the Digital Life Certificate.

After successful submission, the pensioner receives an acknowledgement with a unique Pramaan ID.
