Silver price in India today (April 30, 2026) in the retail market declined by a substantial 3.61% or ₹10,000 per kg, with the prices at ₹2,67,000.

Over the last 10 days, silver prices have come down by nearly ₹15,000 per kg.

Silver rates in India are determined by a host of factors in India, including international price movement, dollar-rupee exchange rate and import duties. Also, as India imports a major chunk of its silver requirement, rates are also influenced by local demand etc.

Why silver prices rose sharply today?

Silver prices continued their winning streak for the second day in a row today. On the MCX, May silver futures at around 12 pm traded with gains of 2% or ₹4,673 at 2,37,873 per kg.

The gains were primarily influenced by rates in the gold market, which also registered gains today.

The prices are gaining after a sharp sell-off, which led silver to erase all its gains made in 2026.

Also, steadiness in the dollar index even as crude prices hit past $120 per barrel, also lent support to the white metal. The support is also seen despite bearish sentiment as industrial demand holds.

Internationally, US silver futures traded with gains of over 1% at $72.995.
