Silver Rate Today, July 17: Prices fall today; check rate in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, other cities

After remaining steady for four consecutive session, silver prices tumbled on Friday (July 17, 2026). According to GoodReturns.in, silver price fell by ₹5,000 to ₹2.3 lakh per kg.

Factors influencing silver rates in India

Silver continued to trade lower today. On the MCX, silver September futures at around 10:45 am traded weak by 0.77% or ₹1,663 at ₹2,14,350 per kg. The day's low and high prices are ₹2,13,824 and ₹2,16,230 per kg, respectively. In the previous session, the contract settled at ₹2,16,013.

Spot silver traded with a cut of 0.75% at $55.1070 per ounce, while September silver futures declined 1.5% to $55.33 per ounce.

Sell-off in the white metal reflects that higher interest rates and persistent inflation could weigh on the demand for the metal.

In addition, gains in the dollar index and rising 10‑year US Treasury yields drove silver prices lower.
