Factors influencing gold rate in India today

Mirroring positive sentiment overseas, gold prices traded in the green. At around 11:34 am, gold August futures on the MCX traded higher by 0.31% or ₹439 at ₹1,41,950 per 10 gm.

Prices gained traction as oil prices fell following US President Donald Trump's decision to postpone fresh strikes on Iran, amid hopes of reaching a swift agreement.

On his Truth Social platform, Trump on Saturday said that Iran and other Middle-Eastern nations have sought time to reach a deal that would result in "the Immediate, Complete and Total" reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

Easing concerns over inflation and a higher-for-longer interest rate outlook buoyed investor sentiment.

Spot gold traded with gains of 0.54% or $21.68 at $4,064.35 per ounce. US gold futures for December delivery traded higher by 0.25% at $4,117.45 per ounce.

Market participants will keep a close watch on a host of US jobs data this week, including job openings report, weekly jobless claims and ADP employment report.
