US markets today: Dow, S&P 500, Nasdaq futures indicate positive open; Super Micro Computer earnings in focus

US markets today: Equity market futures on Wall Street indicate a positive opening on Tuesday, August 11, as investors focus on a marginal pullback in crude oil prices, positive cues from Asian markets amid the upcoming Super Micro Computer earnings.

Dow Jones futures were trading 0.04% higher at 54,087 points ahead of the opening bell on Tuesday, indicating an over 100-point higher opening on August 11, when compared to the previous equity market close.

The S&P 500 index futures were trading 0.14% higher at 7,787.50 points ahead of the opening bell on Tuesday, indicating a 20-point higher opening, according to Investing.com data.

The tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 index futures were trading 0.30% higher at 29,825.75 points before the opening bell on August 11, indicating a more than 200-point elevated open on Tuesday’s market session.

US markets recap

US equity market indices on Monday, August 10, ended lower after their trading session as investors focused on the global crude oil prices rebounding, rising US Treasury yields, and traders exercising caution ahead of the key inflation data release.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 0.11% lower at 53,975.98 points after the trading session on Monday, compared to 54,036.93 points at the previous equity market close, according to MarketWatch data.

The S&P 500 index ended 0.06% lower at 7,753.11 points after the market session on August 10, in comparison to 7,757.64 points at the previous US stock market close, according to the exchange data.

The tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 index closed 0.34% lower at 29,621.80 points after the trading session on Monday, compared to 29,722.30 points at the previous Wall Street close, as per the data.

US stocks to watch on August 11

Intel: Tech major Intel shares are expected to be in focus of investors after the company's shares lost more than 4% during the previous market session. During the pre-market hours on Nasdaq, Intel shares were trading flat ahead of Tuesday’s opening bell.

On Monday, the company proposed a $15 billion underwritten public offering of common stock. Intel plans to use the net proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes, which may include, but are not limited to, capital expenditures and working capital.

Super Micro Computer Inc.: Super Micro Computer shares were trading over 2% higher during the pre-market hours on Nasdaq, ahead of the opening bell on August 11, as investors awaited the US-based tech company’s June quarter earnings report.

As per the exchange data, the company is expected to release its June quarter earnings report during the post-market hours on Wednesday, August 11, 2026.

Key earnings stocks: Stocks like Sea Ltd, Cardinal Health, Elbit Systems, Venture Global, On Holdings, Tencent Music Entertainment, Aramark, Embraer, Madison Square Garden Sports Corp., DPC Holdings, and Rackspace Technology are among others set to release their earnings on August 11, 2026.
Tech stocks: US-based tech stocks like SK Hynix ADR, Nvidia, Broadcom, AMD, Qualcomm, Taiwan Semiconductor (TSMC), Texas Instruments, ASML Holdings, and Oracle are set to be in focus of investors amid Super Micro Computer’s earnings.

US economic data release

On Tuesday, investors are set to focus on the existing home sales data, along with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Q2 household debt and credit report, as per the official schedule of economic events.

Traders will also exercise caution ahead of the upcoming key US Consumer Price Index (CPI) data release, which is set to be released on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. The US Bureau of Labour Statistics is expected to release the key economic data for July 2026 during market hours on Wednesday.

The US monthly Treasury balance will also be in focus of investors on Wednesday’s market, so investors are expected to trade based on the expectations of the upcoming economic data trajectory.
