Ultratech Cement Q2FY27 results

Ultratech Cement posted steady growth across the board for the quarter ended September 2026. The revenue for the quarter jumped 18% YoY to ₹23,024 crore as compared to ₹19,371 crore in the same period last year. Despite the volatility and internal headwinds, the company was able to deliver 13.8% YoY growth in grey cement sales at 35.94 million tonnes, up from 31.58 million tonnes in the same period last year.

At the operational level, the earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation jumped 17.3% YoY to ₹3,832 crore, up from ₹3,268 crore in the quarter ended September 2025.

Meanwhile, the margins remained largely unchanged at 16.6% vs 16.8% in the same period last year. The logistics costs largely remained flat, while the fuel costs jumped 14% YoY. However, a 12% drop in power costs, eased off some margin pressure.

Lastly, the net profit for the quarter jumped 21.3% YoY to ₹1,501 crore as compared to ₹1,238 crore in the same period last year. The profitability was largely enhanced by strengthening manufacturing capacity, higher discipline in execution, and a wider network.

Despite the internal and external headwinds, like a weaker-than-expected monsoon and the ongoing West Asian crisis, the company delivered robust results. The capacity utilisation jumped from 66% to 75% in the current quarter as compared to last year.

Besides this, the board of directors of the company also approved the issuance of a corporate guarantee for its associate company. The exchange filing read, “The Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held today, i.e., 19th October, 2026, approved issuance of a Corporate Guarantee up to an amount of $55 million in connection with the loan to be obtained by UHG Holdings IFSC Private Limited, an associate company”.
