SUMMARY
The market breadth turned in favour of declines as the market snapped a six-day rally on Tuesday. The NIFTY50 and SENSEX traded flat-to-negative and midcap and small-cap indices fell up to 1.5% amid profit booking at higher levels. 110 stocks hit the upper circuit and 86 stocks hit the lower circuit on Tuesday.

NIFTY50 and SENSEX snapped the six-day relentless rally on Tuesday as markets turned red amid profit booking at higher levels in key stocks. The NIFTY50 traded 10 points lower at 23,648 and SENSEX traded 7 points lower at 77,977 at 11:45 am on Tuesday. The broader markets also turned red and traded with losses of up to 1.5%. The larger market breadth also turned in favour of declines as 2,119 stocks traded in the red against 603 in the green.
The top gainers on Nifty were Ultratech Cement up by 3.44%, Bajaj Finserv up by 2.58%, Infosys up by 2.14%, HDFC Bank up by 1.91% and HCL Technologies up by 1.63%. On the flip side, Indusind Bank down by 3.70%, Dr. Reddy's Lab down by 3.25%, Shriram Finance down by 1.36%, Adani Enterprises down by 1.12% and Bajaj Auto down by 1.11% were the top losers.
However, 111 stocks hit the upper circuit despite a broader profit booking scenario. On the flip side, 86 stocks hit the lower circuit
