Wipro launches Wipro STO360 with Aramco and SAP; shares fall 38% year-to-date

According to a regulatory filing dated September 17, the tool will help asset-intensive organisations with efficient shutdown, turnaround, and outage (STO) management.

The tool, built on SAP’s Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), combines Wipro’s domain expertise with Aramco’s business innovation and operational leadership to support asset-intensive industries, including oil and gas, chemicals, mining, manufacturing, and utilities.

Wipro STO360 is an end-to-end solution that enables real-time visibility into critical activities, improved collaboration across teams, and more informed decision-making throughout the STO lifecycle, the filing read.

Using a modern cloud-native architecture, it is designed to help organizations enhance asset reliability, improve operational efficiency, strengthen compliance, and reduce risk across maintenance programs, it added.

Commenting on the development, Vinay Firake, CEO of APMEA (Asia Pacific, India, Middle East, and Africa), Wipro, said: “Asset-heavy industries need to embrace AI-led transformation quickly and at scale due to the increasing complexity, regulatory expectations, and the need for operational excellence.”

Wipro stock performance

Wipro shares closed 0.29% lower at ₹166.40 per unit on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Thursday, September 17. However, the development was announced after the market closed.

The scrip lost more than 8% over the month and 38% on a year-to-date (YTD) basis. While the stock hit a 52-week high of ₹273.10 per equity share on December 22, 2025, it touched a year’s low of ₹165.02 apiece on September 17, 2026.
