Waaree Energies' US arm bags 452 MW solar module supply contract, shares end 5% higher

Shares of Waaree Energies ended 5.39% up at ₹3,321.10 apiece on the NSE on Tuesday, August 26.

Waaree Energies' wholly owned subsidiary, Waaree Solar Americas, has secured a major order for the supply of 452 megawatts (MW) of solar modules, the company said in a release on Tuesday, August 26.

The order has been secured from a renowned customer who is a developer and owner-operator of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects across the US, it added.

"This is to inform you that Waaree Solar Americas, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, has received an order on August 26, 2025 for the supply of 452MW solar modules from a renowned customer who is a developer and owner-operator of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects across the United States," Waaree Energies said in the release.

The order is related to the supply of 452MW Solar modules in the financial year 2025-26 (FY26) and 2026-27 (FY27).

Waaree Energies shares and Q1 results

Shares of Waaree Energies ended 5.39% up at ₹3,321.10 apiece on the NSE on Tuesday after touching an intraday high of ₹3,329.80 apiece. The company's market capitalisation stands at ₹95,409.62 crore.

Over the last five days, the scrip of Waaree Energies has soared 7.91%, while it has climbed 6.73% in the past month.

In the last six months, the stock has rallied as much as 50%, and the year-to-date growth stands at 16.03%.

The stock hit its 52-week high of ₹3,743 per share on November 6, 2024, while it was at its 52-week low of ₹1,863 apiece on April 7, 2025.

For the first quarter of FY26, the company reported a consolidated net profit of ₹745 crore, up 89.1% year-on-year (YoY) against ₹394 crore posted in Q1 FY25.

Its revenue from operations jumped 29.8% YoY to ₹4,426 crore in the June quarter as compared to ₹3,409 crore a year ago.

The company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) jumped 80% to ₹997 crore, and its operating profit margin expanded by 630 basis points to 22.53%.

Waaree Energies debuted on the stock market in October last year. It is a leading renewable energy company offering solar solutions, including panel manufacturing, EPC services, rooftop systems and project development.
