Waaree Energies has inaugurated an advanced 5.4 GW solar cell gigafactory facility in Chikhli, Gujarat. Spread across 150 acres, with a built-up area of 101 acres, this facility stands as a testament to its commitment to a sustainable energy future for the nation.

The Chikhli facility, equipped with world-class high-efficiency solar cell technology, is a product of the company’s relentless focus on research-driven innovation, precision engineering, and sustainability. Beyond production capabilities, the facility aligns with India’s broader decarbonization goals by ensuring a cleaner, greener, and more self-reliant energy future.

The board of directors also approved establishment of an additional 1.6 GW Module manufacturing line at its unit situated at Brookshire, in the state of Texas, USA and setting up of additional module manufacturing lines with a Capacity of 3.2 GW at its plant in Navsari in the state of Gujarat.

The company currently holds an orderbook of ₹50,000 crore, which is diversified into 54% from the overseas market and 46% from international markets.

Waaree Energies is the largest manufacturer of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules in India. Its portfolio of solar energy products consists of the following PV modules: (i) multicrystalline modules; (ii) monocrystalline modules; and (iii) Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact (TopCon) modules, comprising flexible modules, which includes bifacial modules (Mono PERC) (framed and unframed), and building integrated photo voltaic (BIPV) modules.
