Waaree Energies share price down despite securing 150 MWp supply order for solar modules

Waaree Energies share price: Shares of Waaree Energies were trading in the red despite the company securing a 150-megawatt peak (MWp) order for the supply of solar modules.

The stock was down 0.65% to ₹2,843.7 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) at 10:44 am. The market capitalisation stands at ₹81,694.72 crore.

It declined 0.67% to ₹2,841.50 on the BSE.

Waaree Energies bags solar modules order

In an exchange filing on Thursday, Waaree Energies announced that it has received an order to supply 150 MWp of solar modules from a well-known client involved in owning, developing, and operating renewable power projects in India.

The supply of modules will commence in the financial year 2025-26.

Earlier this week, Waaree Energies' subsidiary Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd (WRTL) bagged its largest-ever order 2 gigawatt (GW) solar project from Jindal Renewables' special purpose vehicle (SPV) Sunbreeze Renewables Nine Pvt Ltd.

The project will be executed in Bikaner, Rajasthan, using advanced technologies and sustainable solutions to improve energy efficiency and maximize generation.

WRTL Director Viren C Doshi said, "We are delighted to collaborate with Jindal Renewables on this landmark 2 GW solar EPC project."

Last month, Waaree Forever Energies Pvt Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Waaree Energies, secured a letter of award (LoA) for the development of 170 MW solar power plant in Madhya Pradesh from Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limtied (RUMSL).
