Vodafone Idea share price: Shares of telecom operator Vodafone Idea Ltd rose over 5% on Tuesday after it partnered with HCLSoftware to automate 4G and 5G networks.

The stock rose as much as 5.29% to ₹8.15 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). At 2:37 pm, it was up 4.65% to ₹8.10 a unit.

The market capitalisation of the company stands at ₹56,456.85 crore, while the free-float market cap is ₹20,997.41 crore.

Vi partners with HCLSoftware to automate 4G and 5G networks

Vodafone Idea has partnered with HCL Technologies software unit HCLSoftware to make its 4G and 5G networks more efficient and smarter.

Vi now uses HCL Augmented Network Automation (HCL ANA) to manage its Samsung and Ericsson networks. This technology will help the telecommunications company to enhance network performance, offer better services to its customers and save energy.

The HCL ANA platform utilises artificial intelligence (AI) to facilitate the management of Vi’s complex multi-vendor, multi-technology, and multi-layered network, providing smooth integration and efficient network operations.

Jagbir Singh, CTO of Vodafone Idea, said, "This partnership with HCLSoftware is a major step forward for Vodafone Idea. The AI-powered HCL ANA platform will streamline our network operations and provide a superior network experience to our customers. It also reflects Vi’s commitment to using advanced, Made-in-India technologies to improve services, reduce costs, and prepare for the future of telecom innovation."

Neeraj Purandare, SVP/GM – ISD Business at HCLSoftware, said the technology will help Vi to scake their network smoothly without disruptions. "This collaboration will not only benefit Indian telecom users but also boost local technology development and innovation," he added.

Vi has gained 3.45% in the past month, while it has declined 11.58% in the three-month period. Year-to-date, the scrip is up 1.63%.
