Vedanta share price: Shares of Vedanta Ltd, the metals and mining giant, are expected to remain in focus on Thursday, March 19. The company on Wednesday said in its exchange filing that its board will meet on Monday, March 23, 2026, to consider and approve the third interim dividend on equity shares, if any, for the financial year 2025-26.

Interim dividend details

Vedanta’s board of directors on Thursday, August 21, 2025, approved its second interim dividend totalling ₹6,256 crore for the financial year 2025-26.

“…the Board of Directors of Vedanta Limited (the “Company”), at its meeting held today, i.e., Thursday, August 21, 2025, has considered and approved the Second Interim Dividend of ₹16 per equity share on a face value of ₹1 per equity share for the Financial Year 2025-26 amounting to ₹6,256 crore,” the company said in a regulatory statement.

The record date for dividend payment has been fixed on August 27, 2025 (Wednesday), and the interim dividend will be duly paid within the stipulated timelines as prescribed under law, the firm further said.

1st interim dividend details

Vedanta had approved the first interim dividend for the current financial year on June 18, 2025. Its board of directors had approved a dividend payment of ₹7 per share, amounting to ₹2,737 crore.

Anil Aggarwal-led Vedanta has a strong history of regularly rewarding shareholders with dividend payouts. Last financial year, Vedanta announced four interim dividends amounting to ₹43.50 per share.

Vedanta Q3 FY26 earnings

Mining major Vedanta Ltd reported a 60% rise in consolidated profit after tax at ₹7,807 crore in the quarter ended December 2025 (Q3 FY26).

The company posted a consolidated profit after tax (PAT) of ₹4,876 crore in the year-ago period.

The consolidated revenue from operations of the company during the quarter rose to ₹45,899 crore from ₹38,526 crore in the year-ago period.

"Q3 FY26 has been a landmark quarter for Vedanta, delivering our highest-ever EBITDA of ₹15,171 crore, with two of our businesses achieving their best-ever financial results...Alongside the landmark approval for the demerger into five pure-play entities, these results demonstrate our strong operational momentum and readiness to unlock long-term value as we advance Vedanta's 2.0 journey," Vedanta Executive Director Arun Misra said.
