The numbers were in line with Street estimates; however, no big positive surprises or announcements, as expected by the Street, dented sentiment.

JSW Energy: Shares of JSW Energy surged as much as 7.3% to ₹555.55 apiece on the NSE on Tuesday, January 14, as the company on Monday announced it has emerged as a successful applicant to acquire KSK Mahanadi Power Company, which owns 3,600 MW thermal power plants, under insolvency proceedings.

This follows the approval by the Committee of Creditors, with the closure of the transaction subject to the necessary regulatory approvals from the National Company Law Tribunal and Competition Commission of India.

HDFC AMC: Shares of HDFC Asset Management Company (HDFC AMC) gained up to 2.9% to ₹3,947.10 apiece on the NSE.

The company is slated to release its December quarter results today.

Delta Corp: Shares of the company were trading 3.55% lower at ₹106.51 apiece on the NSE, a day after the company reported its December quarter numbers.

The company reported a 3.5% year-over-year (YoY) increase in net profit at ₹35.7 crore for the third quarter ending December 31, 2024.

However, revenue from operations declined by 7.5%, amounting to ₹194.3 crore in Q3FY25, compared to ₹210.1 crore in the corresponding quarter of the prior year.

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani met Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday and announced a major investment of ₹65,000 crore for the state. This investment, aimed at expanding the Adani Group’s energy and cement projects, is expected to drive significant growth in the region.

Waaree Energies: Shares of Waaree Energies were up 3.97% to ₹2,585.95 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) at 10:47 am.

On January 10, the company announced that it had inked a ₹792 crore deal to acquire Enel Green Power India Pvt Ltd (EGPIPL).

NTPC Green Energy: NTPC Green Energy shares rose 5.48% to ₹116 per unit on the NSE. Intraday, it climbed as much as 6.6%. The market capitalisation of the company stood at ₹97,762.28 crore.
