TVS Motor's monthly sales rise 12% YoY to over 5 lakh in September; check monthly sales numbers

TVS Motor Company on Wednesday, October 1, reported monthly sales of 5,41,064 units in September 2025, marking a 12% year-on-year (YoY) jump from 4,82,495 units in September 2024.

During the second quarter of FY26, the auto manufacturer recorded the highest-ever quarterly sales at 15.07 lakh units.

Its total two-wheeler sales surged 11% YoY to 5,23,923 units during the reporting month, compared to 4,71,792 units in the year-ago period. Furthermore, TVS Motor sold 4,13,279 units of two-wheelers domestically in September, as against 3,69,138 in September 2024.

During the month, the automaker registered a 17% YoY growth in monthly scooter sales to 2,18,928, as against 1,86,751 units in the same month last year.

The company registered a 22% YoY growth in its quarterly two-wheeler sales at 14.54 lakh units in Q2FY26 from 11.90 lakh units in the corresponding quarter last year, it stated.

While the company sold 31,266 electric vehicles (EVs) in September 2025, marking an 8% YoY growth from 28,901 units sold in September 2024, magnet availability has continued to pose challenges in the short to medium term, TVS Motor said in a regulatory filing.

Furthermore, it registered a 60% YoY monthly sales increase in three-wheelers, selling 17,141 units in September 2025, compared to 10,703 units in September 2024.

Its three-wheelers' quarterly sales grew 41% YoY, with sales increasing to 0.53 lakh units during the reporting quarter, compared to 0.38 lakh units in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.

“The company's total exports registered a growth of 10% with sales increasing from 1,11,007 units in September 2024 to 1,22,108 units in September 2025. Two-wheeler exports grew by 8% with sales increasing from 1,02,654 units in September 2024 to 1,10,644 units in September 2025,” the filing added.

Its total exports registered a growth of 30% YoY, with sales increasing to 4 lakh units in Q2FY26, as against 3.09 Lakh units in Q2FY25.

Shares of TVS Motor Company closed at ₹3,457.90 apiece, up 0.56% on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Wednesday. However, the sales numbers were reported after the market closed.
