Transrail Lighting shares slip over 2% despite bagging orders worth ₹421 crore; check details

Transrail Lighting share price: Shares of Transrail Lighting zoomed 2.95% to the day’s high of ₹823 during the morning session. However, the stock pared the gains, as it later fell as much as 2.10% to an intra-day low of ₹782.65 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Tuesday, September 16.

The scrip was trading 1.73% lower at ₹785.55 per equity share, as of 1:39 pm.

This comes after the company won new orders worth ₹421 crore, which includes a large transmission line contract in Africa, a new country for the turnkey EPC firm, it said in a regulatory filing dated Monday.

These additions have taken Transrail Lighting’s FY26 order inflows beyond the ₹3,500 crore mark as of August 2025, reflecting a growth of 78% year-on-year (YoY) in order intake.

Commenting on the orders, Randeep Narang, MD & CEO of Transrail Lighting, said: “These fresh wins, led by international T&D and complemented by Poles & Lighting orders, highlight our diversified capabilities and growing global presence. We remain committed to efficient execution and value creation for all stakeholders.”

Past order wins

In a separate regulatory filing in August, the firm had informed investors that it secured a significant domestic transmission line EPC order and an international product supply order aggregating to ₹837 crore. Before this, it had bagged new orders totalling ₹701 crore from both Indian and overseas clients.

Transrail Lighting stock performance

The share advanced 0.36% over the week and 25.14% over a period of three months. On a year-to-date basis, it gained 44.99%.

While the scrip reached a 52-week high of ₹855.80 on August 13, 2025, it touched a year’s low of ₹394.55 per equity share on April 7, 2025.

The company has a total market capitalisation of ₹10,575.35 crore, as of September 16, 2025, according to data on the NSE.
