The Indian equity benchmarks rose for a second straight session on Thursday, November 20, powered by gains in index heavyweights like Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, Bajaj Finance, Axis Bank, Bajaj Finserv and ITC. During the session SENSEX rose as much as 615 points to hit fresh 52-week high of 85,801.70 and NIFTY50 index touched a 52-week high of 26,247, mere 30 points shy of its all-time high of 26,277.

The measure of banking stocks on the National Stock Exchange - NIFTY Bank index - extended its record breaking run an touched an all-time high of 59,440.10.

The SENSEX ended 446 points higher at 85,632.68 and NIFTY50 index climbed 140 points to close at 26,192.15.

NIFTY50 top gainers and losers

Eicher Motors was top gainer in the NIFTY50 index, the stock rose 3.31% to close at ₹7,125. Bajaj Finance (2.3%), Bajaj Finserv (2.29%), Reliance Industries (2.01%) and Tech Mahindra (1.82%) were also among the gainers.

On the flipside, Asian Paints (-1.16%), HCL Technologies (-1.09%), Titan (-0.84%), Hindustan Unilever (-0.52%) and ONGC (-0.48%) were top losers in the NIFTY50 index.

NIFTY Midcap 100 gainers and losers

NIFTY Midcap 100 index ended on a flat note at 60,963 after hitting record high of 61,220 earlier in the session. As many as 56 shares ended lower while 44 closed higher.

M&M Financial Services was top gainer in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index, the stock rose 4.94% to close at ₹346. Hitachi Energy India (3.7%), Cummins India (2.9%), Glenmark (2.4%) and SRF (2.29%) were also among the gainers.

On the other hand, Vodafone Idea (-4.77%), Biocon (-3.62%), Aurobindo Pharma (-2.09%), L&T Finance (-1.73%) and LIC Housing Finance (-1.7%) were top losers in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index.

NIFTY Smallcap 100 gainers and losers

NIFTY Smallcap 100 ended marginally lower at 18,067. As many as 62 shares ended lower while 37 closed higher.

Radico Khaitan was top gainer in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index, the stock jumped 5.28% to close at ₹3,400 amid higher than usual trading volumes.

Natco Pharma (4.87%), India Energy Exchange (4.19%), GRSE (3.18%) and International Gemmological Institute (3%) were also among the gainers.

On the contrary, Firstsource Solutions (-3.06%), Aptus (-2.97%), Anand Rathi Wealth (-2.5%), Five Star Business Finance (-2.47%) and Dr Lal Path Labs (-2.31%) were top laggards in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index.
