Top gainers and losers on June 9: Jio Financial, Kotak Bank, Bajaj Finance rise over 2.6%; check full list

The Indian equity benchmarks rose for fourth straight session on Monday, June 9, led by gains in Kotak Mahindra Bank, Axis Bank, Bajaj Finance, Tata Consultancy Services, Reliance Industries and Infosys. The SENSEX rose as much as 481 points and NIFTY50 index touched an intraday high of 25,160. The SENEX ended 256 points higher at 82,445 and NIFTY50 index advanced 100 points to close at 25,103.

NIFTY50 top gainers and losers

Jio Financial Services was top gainer in the NIFTY50 index, the stock rose 3.89% to close at ₹305 after the company launched website of its mutual fund business Jio BlackRock and also appointed the leadership team.

Kotak Mahindra Bank (3.25%), Bajaj Finance (2.69%), Trent (2.51%) and Axis Bank (2.17%) were also among the gainers.

On the flipside, Eternal (-1.86%), ICICI Bank (-1.73%), Titan (-0.73%), Mahindra & Mahindra (-0.69%) and Adani Ports (-0.32%) were among the losers.

NIFTY Midcap 100 gainers and losers

NIFTY Midcap 100 index rose 1.13% or 665 points to close at 59,674.95. As many as 76 shares ended higher while 23 closed lower on the National Stock Exchange.

Bandhan Bank was top gainer in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index, the stock rose 7.23% to close at ₹186 mirroring gains in other banking and financial services shares after Reserve Bank of India (RBI) reduced repo rate by 50 basis points and cut cash reserve ratio by 100 basis points.

IREDA (4.79%), Hindustan Zinc (4.73%), OFSS (4.37%) and Muthoot Finance (3.95%) were also among the gainers.

On the other hand, Cochin Shipyard (-3.71%), Kalyan Jewellers (-1.98%), Apollo Hospitals (-1.93%), Bharti Hexacom (-1.68%) and Mazagon Dock Shipyards (-1.11%) were among the losers.

NIFTY Smallcap 100 gainer and losers

NIFTY Smallcap 100 index rose 1.57% or 291 points to close at 18,873. As many as 77 shares in the index ended higher while 23 closed lower.

Five-Star Business Finance was top gainer in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index, the stock rose 9.20% to close at ₹798. IIFL (7.95%), Manappuram Finance (7.21%), MCX (6.97%) and Mahanagar Gas (6.87%) were also among the gainers.

On the contrary, Data Patterns (-3.57%), BLS (-3.36%), Zen Technologies (-3.33%), Neuland Labs (-2.44%) and Brigade Enterprises (-1.94%) also among the laggards.
