Top gainers and losers on June 26: Shriram Finance, Jio Financial Services, Tata Steel rise over 2.5%; check full list

The Indian equity benchmarks surged to highest level in over eight months in trade on Thursday, June 26, led by gains in index heavyweights like HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank. The SENSEX soared as much as 1,057 points and NIFTY50 index touched an intraday hight of 25,565.30.

The Indian equity benchmarks surged to highest level in over eight months in trade on Thursday, June 26, led by gains in index heavyweights like HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank. The SENSEX soared as much as 1,057 points and NIFTY50 index touched an intraday hight of 25,565.30. NIFTY50 top gainers and losers

Shriram Finance was top gainer in the NIFTY50 index, the stock rose 3.69% to close at ₹700. Jio Financial Services (3.05%), Tata Steel (2.56%), Bharti Airtel (2.54%) and Hindalco (2.48%) were also among the gainers.

On the flipside, Dr Reddy's Labs was top loser in the NIFTY50 index, the stock fell 1.31% to close at ₹1,324. Tech Mahindra (-1%), Wipro (-0.52%), State Bank of India (-0.5%) and Hero MotoCorp (-0.45%) were also among the losers.

NIFTY Midcap 100 gainers and losers

NIFTY Midcap 100 index rose 0.59% or 346 points to close at 59,227. As many as 64 shares in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index ended higher while 37 closed lower.

Tube Investments of India was top gainer in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index, the stock rose 5.3% to close at ₹3,007 on the back of heavy trading volumes. As many as 15.95 lakh shares changed hands on the National Stock Exchange against average trading volume of 3.13 lakh shares.

SAIL (3.94%), HPCL (3.15%), Marico (2.85%) and NALCO (2.85%) were also among the gainers.

On the other hand, Bharti Hexacom (-2.90%), Prestige Estates (-2.89%), Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders (-2.12%), UPL (-2.10%) and Cochin Shipyard (-1.59%) were among loser in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index.

NIFTY Smallcap 100 gainers and losers

NIFTY Smallcap 100 index rose 0.42% or 78 points to close at 18,805. As many as 50 shares in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index ended higher while 49 closed lower.

Brainbees Solutions was top gainer in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index, the stock rose 17% to close at ₹369.50 on the back of high trading volumes. As many as 40 lakh shares changed hands on the BSE compared to 1.47 lakh shares traded daily in the past two weeks.

Nuvama (4.94%), Hindustan Copper (4.85%), Godfrey Philips (4.47%) and Aegis Logistics (3.96%) were also among the gainers.

On the contrary, Redington India (-3.21%), Brigade Enterprises (-2.43%), Firstsource Solutions (-1.76%), Sagility (-1.60%) and PG Electroplast (-1.40%) were top losers in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index.
